The food is good, but just be prepared to wait forever. They have a dine in option and buffet to order option. Doesn't matter what you decide, you're going to have to wait. I usually just try to order my food from the buffet counter and I promise it's never been less than a 20 minute wait. If you don't have any where to go fast, then this is your place.

Love the original Mac n cheese. My favorite, but everything is good. The best way to describe CK is all of the food is extra flavorful and has it own distinct signature taste. They are very consistent. They get it right. That's why CK is thriving in this business. Highly recommend.

I love this place. I'd been hearing about it for a while and checked it lit. Staff friendly and the environment is clean. Greens seasoned and soft and Mac and cheese super cheesy. Soul food at its best.

Look the food was good no complaints but good lord 24 dollars for one piece of fried catfish is outrageous that’s the bottom of the barrel fish to eat for god sake they actually are paying people to get the invasive fish out of the water that’s just highway robbery

Get the potato salad it is off the chain, didn't really care about the vanilla cake with the homemade icing.

This place is excellent, they have several locations but this is more of an express with limited seats and tables which was fine. The wait was short and the food was excellent.Parking: They only have street parking which made it a little difficultKid-friendliness: It was definitely kid friendly I had my granddaughter with me.

Fun place to eat at. All the wall art and fixtures; take your time and look everything over. They don't have the vinegar based BBQ, (eastern NC style BBQ) oh well. In spite of this omission, their food is pretty good. I'll go again.

I visited this location to celebrate with my Shaw Jr. High School 9th grade teacher and class mates. Mind you we graduated in 1979-80 and still ALL have a bond. The hottest was the most. She checked up on us often, asked our opinions, and then referred us to her plant based location in Capitol Heights.Yep, yesterday (Tuesday) there I was again at that location with My Guy, and so was she.Thank you for the referral. I prefer plant based vs soul food.Go Carolina Kitchen!Your customer service, business, and cusine rocks!!!!Ya'll get over there now - yah hear?? :-)DB

Wanted soul food for Sunday dinner after church so I visited this location. We easily found street parking near the restaurant on a Sunday afternoon. There was a line with about a 20-30 minute wait but the line did progress - the wait gave us time to look at the menu as first time visitors. The line is carry out only with open seating. The food is buffet style and you order and it is prepared for you to pick up at checkout. We ordered two things (catfish and creole salmon) that were made to order after about 10 minutes. The line staff were courteous as well as the staff at checkout. We had creole salmon fried catfish with two sides each including cornbread and we also got a Caesar salad. The fish was flavorful and the white rice was just rice (you can season how you want with salt pepper hot sauce etc) I really enjoyed the side items! It was easy to get seated and the dining room was clean (staff came out periodically to clean used tables and sweep)

I enjoy every meal I order from this Carolina Kitchen location and so does my husband. The fried chicken, BBQ chicken, and smothered pork chops are absolutely delicious as are the yams and collard greens. The service is good as well. I am never disappointed.
