The food is really good! Shepherd's pie was delicious; I was a little worried because sometimes it can be bland but this was perfect. Scotch eggs were great! And awesome fries. We'll definitely be back. Also they have beer!

Food is fantastic and staff are very friendly and professional as well as a good combination with High Tide Games!!!

This place is tucked in the Old San Souci Plaza on the north side. It’s likely co-owned or operated with High Tide Games since people freely pass through the inside open door way. I wish it had more customers because I do not want it to go away. Been there a couple times during lunch and only one other table was occupied when I was there at 12:30.

Great food and amazing staff. Thanks a lot for introducing me to something new. Love the eggs.

Great service, and a good selection of on tap beers. The food itself was fantastic, I especially loved the burger and the pretzels. My wife really enjoyed the shepherd's pie and the scottish egg. What could be better than sitting down for a bite to eat, and buying Pokémon cards at High Tide! There's a great selection on the menu so I think there's something for everybody.

Nice little place next to a gaming store in the shopping center. Delicious Bangers and Mash! And now I don't have to wait for the Annual Renaissance Faire to get my favorite Scotch Eggs .

Bard’s Bistro is an add-on to High Tide Games. High Tide hosts a ton of board gaming events every night of the week, from MtG to WARHAMMER to D&D, and they used to depend on sales of snacks and sodas in the store to make any money off these terrific and well-attended game nights. So, I was happy to see that they opened a full-fledged restaurant next door, and knocked out a wall between the two. It’s a real win-win, as gamers can eat more than candy and crackers during game nights, and the store can generate some proper revenue from what was previously just a great service they were providing the local gaming community. The food itself is decent, if nothing to write home about. I’ve had the Pub Burger a couple of times and it’s not bad but the waffle fries tend to be undercooked. I’ve also had a couple of other dishes and would give them all a 3 or 4 star rating. The staff is friendly, though service can be a bit slow even when the place is empty. The only real disappointment is if you are coming off the street expecting an actual D&D themed restaurant as claimed. The “theme” is barely evident, with one fantasy map on the wall and a few faux candle chandeliers over the tables. No one is in costume or character, there isn’t much decor, and with a very few exceptions even the menu items are not named after clever D&D references. I think there’s a Side Quest Salad and that’s about it.So, it’s decent food and super convenient for game nights at High Tide, but not particularly worth a special trip to visit.

Bards Bistro is affiliated with the game store next door while I'm not into those games I'm into good food. They recently updated and expanded their menu. It's probably one of the most underrated restaurants in St.Mary's. I come with a group of people and there hasn't been one thing that anyone has ordered that was just ok. My go to is the fish and chips. Their frozen drinks like smoothies and iced Carmel frappes are outstanding. The guy at the register has always been helpful and nice, not one bad experience from any of the staff. IF you are lucky enough to be there on a day they have the cheese cake get it.

We wanted to try this place out. It's right around the corner from us. We love supporting local businesses. With that being said... this one needs a little work. Everything was under seasoned. We had the fish and chips, and scotch eggs. The customer service however, was on point.

The Scotch Eggs tasted amazing and Shepards Pie used real lamb. I'm usually not one for whole eggs but it has so much flavor. Everyone's photos are actually accurate to how well it tastes. Only thing is it's quite pricey for the food. You pay the extra for the theme.

Stopped in with my family around 1pm on a Sunday wasn't very busy however the food took a long time to come out almost 30 mins for chicken tenders. Food was decent and staff was very nice. Prices are pretty high for such a limited client market. Cost over $40 for 2 adults and 1 kid at lunch.

Great pub style food and serves good beer! Conveniently located next to a Table Top/RPG shop. No need to walk outside just go through a doorway!

Food was great, customer service was great, and the people here are passionate about tabletop gaming. A must try for anyone that love food and board games.
