I was pleasantly surprised with the ube (purple yam) mochi donut! I'm from Los Angeles visiting for business and the mochi donut craze has simmered down over there. The ube mochi donut here was perfectly sweet for this kind of donut, and it had a really nice mochi chew to it. For those unfamiliar with mochi, it's a rice flour, which makes the texture more chewy rather than a traditional donut. It's not a fluffy donut, so if it sits out for too long, the fried oil gets absorbed into the dough more. The one from Donutchew was still fresh enough to not have the oily texture to it.I also got a jasmine milk tea (half sugar) and really enjoyed it. Jasmine tea had a strong floral aroma/taste to it and this milk tea didn't dilute it out. If you like the taste of teas, I'd really recommend this one.

Just loveeedd the Mochi Donuts ! This was our first time trying Mochi. They are not overly sweet! And also very light on stomach! We tried variety like mango, blueberry, strawberry ! Every flavour was just too good !!Also, the strawberry and cream croffle was so airy and tasty ! It’s a must try too !The ambience is so cute like a little Italy cafe and all the servers are so sweet and polite..And yes, their cappuccino is a must try too !!

They opened 10 minutes late. They served us cold croffles. The donuts were fun but all very sweet. The fruit tea was pretty good. The employee definitely didn't seem to care very much. Not worth the trip from Frederick, but at least we know now...

I recently visited DonutChew and ordered the strawberry and Strawberry Fresh Cream Croffle, Mango Donut, and Cream Cheese Oreo Donut. My favorite was the croffle and the mochi donuts were sooo good!! This shop in the Rio location has quickly become my go-to spot for satisfying my sweet tooth cravings. The variety of flavor for the donuts they offer is impressive! Some of the flavors I saw included honeydew, ube, churro, matcha, and earl get tea. I originally went for the lotus biscoff but they were sold out. Between the croffle selection and donuts and teas and coffees, Donut chew has something for everyone. The freshness of their donuts is evident and the customer service is on point. The location is really pretty and a place you should definitely visit! The pricing is reasonable considering the taste and quality. I highly recommend! You won't be disappointed!

My trips here are expensive because my kids always want a treat! The mochi donuts are good; I especially like the ube flavor. The croffles are also pretty good, but quite sweet. The staff here is always friendly.

Late nights are just right for mochi donuts and boba/juice teas After hanging out a party, we had a sudden urge for boba and mochi donuts. Luck for us there was a Mochi donut shop open late. What's a mochi donut? Imagine, small tender piece of dough connected to another in a tasty chain to form a perfectly round shape of a donuts. They positively melt in your mouth, with the dough and icing come in various flavors. How do you order? There's a few touchscreens, where you can order your food and beverage selections. I ordered 2 donuts and a pleasantly delicious fruit tea. My order was provide fairly quickly, everyone was given a number when ordering. The decor is this beautiful pale pink, decorated with pink chairs and accentuated with a lovely indoor flower garden. This location had a mixture of people, late night people hanging out, young women seeking sweet treat and a table of older gentlemen discussing politics. Considering this location is in a "town center" it makes perfect sense that this has the city late night vibe. Its a beautiful local, with excellent hours, great service and a tranquil atmosphere and tasty treats. If you find yourself in the area, you should definitely check them out.

First time trying a mochi donut here. It was okay to be honest; more chew than a traditional donut but apart from that not too much of a difference. I thought the donut was a little too sweet compared to other donuts I've tried. Same with the matcha latte we had, which was very sweet compared to others I have tried. Overall, I feel like it would taste way better if the donuts were fresh, like when Krispy Kreme makes fresh donuts. I wish they also allowed you to adjust sugar levels for beverages. The interior is very bright and welcoming with a lot of pink. There are some seats near the edge close to the wall, but not too many. Seemed a bit barren. We did come late so maybe it is akin to that, but there was only one person behind the counter, so the service was a little slow. They were also out of a ton of items, but again that's probably because we came right before the closing time.

I come here whenever I'm craving mochi donuts. The mochi donuts here are delicious and they have a lot of different flavors. My favorites are the matcha, ube and earl grey. They also have coffee, bubble tea and croffles. The interior is pretty cute and there is a decent amount of seating available. The person at the register was friendly and helpful.

I hate how much I love the mochinuts and croffles here. I am an avid fan of the ube donut and a loyal customer at that. I've tried all the flavors except churro, lemon, and red velvet. The texture of the Mochinut is phenomenal!!!And the croffle texture is also ridiculous. I love all the layers in every bite. The cream isn't too heavy or sweet. Randomly I like the honeydew milk tea here too. Their bobas are usually soggy but this is a pastry spot and not boba.

I never had mochi doughnuts before coming to Donutchew, but they have since become one of my favorite treats. Their various flavors of doughnuts are super super yummy, as are their drinks. The store has a cute atmosphere and service is always great!

What a sweet and tasty treat my family and I had after stopping into Donutchew in Rio. After looking at all of the delicious items to choose from we decided to get a half dozen mochi donuts. Some of the flavors we got were yogurt, Nutella, ube, Oreo and churro. The texture was so interesting but yummy. And honestly the price wasn't that bad either! This place also has bubble tea!

This was my second time going and they still tasted great. I believe it is worth a try especially if you enjoy sweet donuts (the strawberry mochi donut is the sweetest).

Terrible service and the employees there only care about “Leaving this piece of s—t store and going home to drink.” The entire store smelled of burnt frying oil. Thankfully one gentleman was making sure SOMEONE did the work, sad to see his co-workers treat him with disrespect.

First time checking out DonutChew and it was pretty solid. The donut was exceptional, bursting with flavor and perfectly satisfying my sweet tooth. There is also ample seating, making it a great spot to savor their delightful treats. Although the service was a tad slow, the quality of the donut makes me eager to return for their enticing bubble tea and croffle options. Can't wait to explore more of their menu!
