Operation Status?!?!Not sure if this place is open for business or not! My husband and I wanted to try out a different restaurant, got there and they were closed. It was the middle of the day on the weekend, so posted hours don't match operating hours.

I give this place five stars simply for the effort and the fact that I’m a small business owner, I don’t like the idea of leaving low star ratings. The food however is definitely generic and not worth the money. What a joke. I eat catfish at enough restaurants to know that this place is selling frozen catfish fillets from the local grocery store (doubt it was catfish, looked and tasted like frozen whiting) which definitely irritated me because when I pay catfish prices I expect some fresh fish that you would get from an actual seafood market like every REAL soul food place sells. Mac and cheese is not bad but I can tell it’s made from some cheap store brand shredded cheese instead of some high quality cheddar. The half and half is not real, it’s some half and half powder that you add water to. Again, a REAL soul food restaurant is making REAL sweet tea and REAL lemonade separately and then mixing it together in a cup, that is what you call half and half. Cabbage was ok. Sadly I see the same trend with our people, always looking to save a dollar and cut corners not realizing that when you stop being so cheap and spend money for quality products, you get quality results. I won’t knock anyone who’s earning an honest living by trying to run a business but I definitely won’t be back! Do yourself a favor if your thinking about driving there and don’t even do it. I wouldn’t eat here again even if I lived right across the street or in the same parking lot as them. Im not sure a dog would even be satisfied with it. The people who eat here and rave about it don’t know how to cook and this place just so happens to be close by. If they tasted a real place like Ohhs and Ahhs or Mid Atlantic Soul food then they would know the place is NOT IT. Oh and here’s another tip, instead of having faded paper menus taped to your counter, try going to fedex or a local print shop and get some laminated menus. Yes I know it’ll require you to put in effort and actually spend some money but it’ll look a lot more professional.

I did know there was such a place in Montgomery county that sold food that tasted good as this. My son Eric bought me food from here, I am very pleased with them. Keep doing an awesome job.

I saw a flyer for this restaraunt so I decided to visit. When you first walk in there are double doors and another pair of double doors upon entrance. The atmosphere is good but could be better with a little more attention to details in the decor on the walls. There is a big menu on top of the counter of the wall of the register and other menus on top of the counter so when you're ordering you know what they offer. I ordered the fish sandwhich with the hot honey sauce they offer with it, on the side. It was delicious. It was fried fish between two pieces of white bread. The fish was fried to perfection and the overall quality was really really good.I also has the red velvet cake which was ok but could've been better. I would definitely be visiting again.

Best waffles around! Great fried chicken. Try the red velvet waffle - yum!!! Candied yams were delish, too. Can't wait to come back. The staff is friendly and helpful. The dining room is just OK, but come for the food!!!

First time visiting. Me and my husband ordered 4 pieces of whiting fish, 1 crocker fish and sides of cabbage, Mac& cheese and greens. We were so impressed. All of the food was fried to perfection. Customer Service was very pleasant. Thanks to the owners for letting us taste test the crab balls hush puppies. They also was good. We'll definitely visit again.

Lousy customer service. You walk into a empty store on a Friday Lunch and you want to order. They make you wait to answer the phone orders that call after you already walk inside. There’s no way this is the Best of anything in MOCO like they claim.Maybe just in the air park for anyone that does not know any better for home cooked food and customer service.First and last time here. I’ll spend my money elsewhere. What a waste of a drive to Gburg air park.

I stopped in today, Sunday, 10/9/2022. I purchased sides, the collard/kale greens and the mac & cheese to accompany a roast chicken that I cooked at home. Both sides were very good! The food was NOT salty in my opinion, in fact I added a little salt to the greens. The service was quick and polite. I did not realize it at the time but as I was waiting for my carry out I had very nice chat with the owner. I don't particularly like chicken, but, I will return soon to try the fish dinner.

I use to visit this place weekly when it was owned by the original owners, AMAZING food and customer services every time! So I wanted to continue supporting with the new ownership but after my experience today I am not sure I will be returning or recommending ever again. Customer service was piss poor for the young lady taking orders just very rude and unprofessional as if she was bothered or upset assisting paying customers down to handing over condiments. The experience and food taste UNFORTUNATELY is no longer the same; This visit was on September 30th 2022

My wife and I were feeling soul food. We didn't even know this spot existed until we googled it. Hands down some of the best we ever had. The whiting fish was fried and seasoned very well. Same with the chicken wings. Candied yams, and Mac and cheese were phenomenal. Collard greens were a bit bland yet good. Great portion sizes too. Highly recommended spot for southern food in the area.

I’m not sure what happened today, but I feel like I completely out of 45$. The fish taste like it was cooked in old grease and no flavor, the mac and cheese taste like plain unseasoned noodle, the kale greens were just okay, the string beans were below average, and the cabbage was pretty good, the only thing that had some flavor. I really hate when I waste my money on food as hard as it is out here and somebody is comfortable with giving me such food without a care. Unbelievable!!

I spent the beginning of my birthday here and I must say I was so pleasantly impressed. I’m glad I went despite the reviews of salty food because the food was so perfect. I got the chicken and waffles the chicken was fried to perfection and seasoned so well I was so happy. The waffle was light and crispy just how I like it the bang bang shrimp was banging and the fries were soft but lightly fried just how I like it as well. The Customer Service was on point they constantly checked on me to make sure I had what I needed and that the food was just righ. I appreciate them Taking the feedback from the reviews and improving upon their food. I will definitely be back and bring family and friends. So happy to see more soul food and black owned restaurants in our area

First time visiting during soft opening. Ordered 3 chicken tenders w/waffles (Red Velvet, Chocolate Chip, and Buttermilk) and 2 half&halfs and a mango lemonade. Food did take a while to be prepared and Red Velvet was slightly blan
