Hands down the best African restaurant experience I’ve had in Lanham, Maryland. Tropicana nails every dish—whether it’s efo riro or jollof rice. It’s always made with care and the flavors are authentic. Great option for carry-out!

Tropicana is an excellent African restaurant serving up some of the best Nigerian and West African food in Lanham. I had the moi-moi and plantains with pepper soup—everything was fresh and spicy, just how I like it. Highly recommend!

I went for oxtails and jollof rice the plantains were burnt to a crisp and the oxtails didn’t have any meat on them. I called the restaurant after getting home to see if they would rectify the issue but nope and they don’t do refunds. They will never have to worry about seeing me again.
