Excellent drinks and food. I am from the greater Seattle area, and it feels like a sexy downtown bar.We have been there also for a few of their events, and they were fabulous. Can not wait for better weather to enjoy their patio and a nice walk to the waterfront.

My husband and I had both our wedding ceremony and reception at the Rex Theatre! It turned out phenomenally. The Rex Manager, Kiera, was extremely helpful throughout the whole process, and worked so well with all the different vendors. The space is industrial, but my wedding felt very modern and elegant after all the decor. It was a great space with a good amount of flexibility. Being able to have all the wedding events in one location made everything so much easier.

In town visiting family and we came here for some pub food and a beer. The atmosphere was standard pub-like and they were setting up for trivia. We had burgers and Caribbean jerk wings. Burgers were fine, but the wings tasted like straight up salt, not sure who thought that was Caribbean jerk, but there was no smokey or fruity flavor consistent with jerk style wings - just straight salt. Wings were large and meaty though. Also we ordered a beer part way through the meal that didn't show up, although there was someone standing behind the bar the whole time doing nothing but chatting with bar patrons. Just overall very unimpressed.

Overall, it was a okay meal. We were able to seat ourselves and our drink order was taken immediately after we sat down. Waited about 10-15 minutes to order, due to the menu changing since our last visit. Ordered the hummus appetizer, chicken Philly with Mac and cheese (which was a $3 up charge), chickpea buffalo salad with a side of street corn. Appetizer came out with three types of hummus; regular, red pepper, and pesto. The regular and red pepper were great but the pesto was awful. It was an unappetizing green color and tasted like nothing, no pesto and no hummus. Our food came out and my chicken cheesesteak was awesome with lots of flavor and hot. The mac & cheese was not worth a $3 up charge and tasted like it came out of a plastic bag. We also ordered the buffalo chickpea salad and it was literally just salad with warmed up chickpeas doused in buffalo sauce. Wasn’t as advertised because it had no blue cheese crumbles or dressing. The street corn side was decent but not enough seasoning. Was really disappointed by this meal, especially as we used to come here once a week before the pandemic. Very, very sad to see the chips taken off the menu, that was ny personal favorite item especially because fries are a $3 up charge. I wouldn’t recommended coming here for food, but their bar seems to stay pretty busy.

My wife and I sat outside for dinner. Took 10 to 15 minutes get menus. Took another 10 to 15 minutes to get our drinks. I ordered the Southside Philly and it was so wet that it fell apart. Our witness asked how the food was and I told her it was bad and she laughed and ran away. Outside was nice. Beautiful evening and my wife and I had a great time together, so we were able to laugh at the bad service and food but it was really bad. My wife ordered the Reuben and that was falling apart too. Really disappointing experience. I won't be coming back.

Waiter is unaware of dishes. Asked for the original rex burger and received a smash burger. Asked for boardwalk fries and they are not fresh cut fries they were greasy frozen fries. Both chicken Philly subs we asked for only lettuce bacon and prov. Both came out with onions and peppers. Had them remake it and both came back out with onions. They only removed the burger from the check. Absolutely ridiculous and will never go back. Don't make the mistake and go there. Stay away.

Advertised on google AND on the front door that they're open at 11am on fridays to sundays. We showed up at 11:10 on a Sunday and it was not open!! There were also a bunch of other people waiting at the front door. Others thought it was 11:30am and some guy then came to us and said they don't open til 1pm??? So confusing! Please make it clear about your hours !! We were excited to try this place for the first time, too bad we couldn't.

My coworker and I flew from Atlanta, GA for a business trip. We are brand new to this town and decided to try out a new restaurant. We were seated immediately, which was great but we found out the kitchen was under repair. The menu option was slim to none but we decided to stay and enjoy trivia night. We were dissatisfied with our order, so we decided to pay and leave to go to another restaurant down the street. The waitress gave us our receipts, we paid using the QR code WHICH IS LISTED ON THE RECEIPT. Then, we leave and all we hear is “AY” from a distance.. we proceeded to walk because again we are in a new town. We get to the new restaurant and we were seated. All of a sudden the waitress and the cook appeared from REX and said oh you all didn’t pay. Basically stated that we dined and ditched. They chased us down and didn’t think to look at the computer to see if we paid. Mind you there were customers at both restaurants listening to this nonsense! The manager did not apologize! I felt humiliated and discriminated towards. I called and left a voicemail for the manager. Not only do I want all of my money back including the tip I left, I would like an apology. I’ve never been experience this before. I’d never go back. I wouldn’t recommend it all at. This is how you treat your customers? Or just your black customers?? I really want to know. Mind you the waitress was new, I give her that but the employees that chased us down were not new and you all should no better. No one thought, “hey, let me check the system.. we do give our customers the option to pay online” no you all just decided to chase us down to a new restaurant and straight humiliate us in a new town. We are far away from home and we experienced this horrific night. It literally ruin our night. We lost our appetite and just eat a little at the new restaurant and went back to our hotel. I would’ve stayed around to talk to the manager last night but I have an early flight. Here is some advice REX: make sure your staff is on the same page.

Went for trivia. They only had 2 servers working and every table was reserved. Bad planning. The trivia host was a bully. Totally off his rocker! Embarrassed and humiliated a customer. Lied and said he s”shoved his phone” in his face. I was right there. There was 3 feet between the phone and “Silvestro”. Then he didn’t stop. He took the Mic and continued to harass the guy. It was completely unprofessional and if I could leave a yelp review of that trivia host company I would. We won’t be going back to the Rex for trivia as long as that hostile bully is hosting .Food quality has been going down for a couple of years now. Chicken wings used to be huge! I’ll wait.

The sweet tea was nasty, wings say king/jumbo and they are small and steak and cheese was mediocre.
