Morgan's American Grill

We decided to stop off the highway while traveling today and try Morgan’s American Grill. The menu has so many nice things to offer. First, I have to say the crab cake was delicious and not over breaded, I hate when I get a crab cake and you can’t even see or taste a whole lot of crabmeat 🦀 . The brioche bun was nice and soft which complimented the crab cake well. We also ordered the Angus burger it was cooked good and my husband enjoyed it. The boardwalk fries were good also. The berry salad was very good, it looked good before even trying it and the dressing was good also.

Upon entry we were greeted with a smile and very welcoming. We didn’t know the person taking our order was the owner. She was very kind, friendly and wanted to make sure we had all we need with our take out order (traveling through) headed home to Dallas Texas.

You helped make our road trip that memorable meeting a nice person with great positive and good food!

Those that live and frequent Morgan’s American Grill are blessed to have such a nice warm place to dine.

Nice place, good service, but fish and chips are super greasy and fries soggy. Sent back and got the same again. Disappointing.

I had a great experience at Morgan's Grill in New Market. Their steaks are delicious and cooked just the way I like them. The wait staff was very friendly and made us feel welcome. They were quick to answer questions and checks on us often. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed, perfect for a good meal. I definitely recommend Morgan's Grill for anyone who loves good steak and friendly service. I will be going back soon!

Although we were seated right away, we didn’t get asked what we wanted to drink for at least 5 minutes, received our drinks pretty quickly, but then waited another 10 minutes before our waitress came back to take our orders. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time but there was nothing special about our food. Coconut shrimp had no coconut taste, chicken Chesapeake didn’t have much crab on it but the ham and bacon on top was good. Chicken was dry. Fish and chips, how can you mess that up? Chips were about the only thing that was good. Coleslaw was very dry. Gave them a try several times over the years but won’t be going back anymore.

We really enjoyed our meals! I had a southwestern chicken wrap that was elite. My mother had Chicken Chesapeake that she couldn’t take home and insisted finishing! My husband had a burger that he enjoyed as well. Service was friendly and fast. The best is when you don’t have to ask for refills! Highly recommend if you’re traveling through, make the stop here for supper.

Meh, think I might need to try again. Grabbed a Cesar salad to go and wish I would have asked for the chicken on the side. Chicken was cooked well but I did not taste much blackening. Dressing was okay, but the greens were just not fresh. For the price I need crisp lettuce. Bartender has a sweet soft personality and was on it. Location is great, there is even a bakery connected. Bakery was sold out and closed.

My family got two entree orders of crab cakes, which were good. We also go two entree salad orders with grilled chicken on the Berry Medley salad bed. These were good except for the fact that the romaine lettuce was visibly dirty/unwashed. The other greens seemed fine. We picked out the dirty romaine, which was the first time anywhere that we've ever been served dirty lettuce.

One of the best meals we’ve ever had a a restaurant! Husband and I went here and enjoyed every aspect.

My husband and I stopped in around 5:15 on 11/9/24 since we were in the area. The spinach artichoke dip was delicious, much better than Applebees. My 1/2 pound angus cheeseburger was probably the best I’ve ever had and it was actually cooked medium the way I ordered it. My husband said his corned beef Reuben was only fair, due to the corned beef quality. The service was very good. The atmosphere however was terrible, they should’ve notified many people eating with their coats on and it was so noisy for a small amount of people there. They definitely need some noise reduction improvements!

This is supposed to be a pulled pork sandwich I ordered from DoorDash. It is burnt to a crisp, hard overcooked dry crispy chunks throughout. Not edible! I’m not joking, I have never seen any restaurant attempt to serve something as bad as this. Shame on you! I was refunded $5 & that was the only option they gave. I spent over $20 with fees & tips for something that went into the trash. Do you actually look at what you serve? If you wouldn’t eat it, DON’T SERVE IT.
The manager should sell their ownership to this place. The food has gone downhill, limited menu that doesn’t require an actual chef, and this is what they serve…come on now! Word of mouth travels fast. Keep up the great work

Way over priced. Food was mediocre at best.
Tuna was 5 small slices - overpriced
Rueben was decent
Fish and Chips - oversized fish stick and less than a hand full of chips.
Artichoke dip had no signs of artichoke and we had the bottom of the bag for chips.

Amazing place. Best Monte Cristo I've ever had, and our server was so great. HIGHLY recommend getting the Crab Dip appetizer, the freshly baked bread bowl was incredible! Can't wait to go back here sometime.
