I remember when they first opened. I was happy to have a new establishment in my community. I never experienced racism in my own town. My husband and I when there and we was told, they didn't have any tables. The place looked very empty and I never when back!!We decided to go to Bob's Crabshell!

This place is great, we had a wonderful experience! Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. The main dining room has a nice cozy atmosphere. Our waitress, Kate, was thoroughly knowledgeable about the menu and incredibly helpful and attentive. The food was tasty and fresh. If you have the opportunity, go on a night when they have live music, and ask for Kate to be your server; you will not be disappointed!

I dined at the Westlawn Inn, in North Beach, MD this week.....it was awesome. From the moment I entered the impressive Arts & Crafts style Inn, my expectations were high. The dining room, with its atmosphere of casual elegance, plus the friendly and knowledgeable wait staff, added to what would become one of the best all around dining encounters of my life. The menu was varied and included many tempting options. I enjoyed Sauteed Shrimp....which was served upon sautéed spinach and quinoa....it was in line with inventive and artful fine dining (anywhere I have ever been). I highly recommend the Roasted Zucchini and the Coconut Shrimp....simply amazing appetizers. Some patrons were gathered around the bar area and mentioned they come here often. They noted they are always delighted with the food and service. I was informed that the bandstand, next to the main dining room.....features live Jazz, R & B and soft rock on the weekends.I intend to return soon, listen to some good music, and enjoy fantastic food at The Westlawn Inn...it is a gem.

Got sick off the food both me and my son! Won't be going there for the food EVER again. We drove 1.5 hrs to listen to some jazz while dinning with my 15 yo who loves jazz.THE BEST PART of evening was the music. The quartet which plays on every second Saturday was wonderful even though my husband's first words were "holy s**t he's old".Our waitress was absolute perfection and on time with everything. For appetizers we had shrimp and portabela mushroom....both fried and bland tasting. The crab soup while delicious to taste, a day later is threatening nausea and vomiting ?We all ordered the prime rib dinner at $30 a plate and it was just a step above the worse meatloaf you can imagine drenched in a brown glaze that covered up the half of the steak which was just huge parts of fat and gristle. The flourless chocolate cake was crumbly and the crem brulee was bland.DISAPPOINTED!!!if I ever go back it will be for the jazz NOT THE TERRIBLE FOOD! #DISGUSTING

We went there this evening for dinner overall was a very good experience and enjoyed the food couple points that I had issue with were the environment... you need some brighter lights it's a little dark when it's dark outside too if you have iced tea on the menu you should not run out make a short pot just so you can serve the clients. Overall food very tasty had to coconut shrimp as an appetizer I'm sorry but it was low overcooked the coconut not was burnt. Will I be back...Yes

The special was Alfredo pasta with shrimp and chicken. Delicious! Service was friendly and attentive. The music was fantastic. Really enjoyed the Rick Whitehead trio! I hope you get a chance to experience that excellent experience. Oh no, I use the word experience twice in the same sentence! No cover! Yay!

Sorry for the long comments. My wife and I went here yesterday for the first time. So my critics are because of my personal biases. 1. You have three different seating areas. Outside on the deck for casual dining. Inside you have a bar area and a fine dining area. They area separated enough so that one area doesn't interfere with the other areas, which is very nice. We sat in the fine dining area. 2. The flavors of there food was amazing, extremely delicious. For the food, I have my own biases on how it was prepped but that didn't take away from the taste or experience. I started with the tempora mushrooms. I prefer panko breaded versus batter dipped. The dipping source, pepper and parm, was a great combination. Next I had the cream of crab. I prefer it to be slightly thicker, but the oil and Tabasco they drizzle over top instead of old bay was delicious. I will certainly remember that when I make cream of crab. Last I had the sirloin steak. It was a thinker cut than expected, they cooked to the way I wanted. Im not used to gravy on my steak, so next time I'll ask for it on the side. 3. The wait staff was amazing, very knowledgeable about the food and how it was prepared (I didnt ask about the steak). They also didn't rush us. It's nice to sit at a restaurant and move at your own pace. We will definitely be going back to try out the different foods and seating areas.

Went to celebrate a birthday mid-week, enjoyed the ambiance and leisurely dining experience. Delightful waitstaff; food was very slow to come out; ribeye steak was very chewy for 2 of us. Enjoyed the flourless cake. Love the big porch!

While music provides ambiance during the weekend, we went during the week--but enjoyed a cozy atmosphere in a region that welcomes you with "Bud Light" neon signs. Delish salad, interesting and well-prepared dinner menu. Even if limited, the only drinkable wine list we encountered. Five stars.
