My wife and I went to this diner for dinner one night. The menu isn't extensive but it certainly has enough options to make one happy. Our server was especially nice and overall it was a good experience. We also had coffee from the restaurant each morning and the morning staff was also very pleasant. Would certainly recommend this place to everyone.
Cute little restaurant. It would be nice if after waiting for 50 minutes for our food the tables that sat down 20 minutes after us didn't get their food before us.
Terrible food for me anyway. I ordered a haddock sandwich and ff with gravy. The FF was not drained well at all so they were greasy. The fish sandwich I asked for toasted and it came not toasted. I told the waitress and she went to get another bun and brought it to me. I put the fish on it and took a bite and I think I was going to puke. I noticed when she give it to me it was greasy but I thought we'll it's ok. It wasn't. I think they dipped it in liquid butter. I left and went to dairy Queen and got a blizzard to fill up my belly and calm it down. It was a gross experience to say the least at 3rd st dinner.
My waitress was very busy, but somehow managed to do a great job, and remained friendly!
We have passed this place dozens of times and fina.ly stopped in for lunch ch after a quick stay at Deep Creek, The food here is some of the best home cooking I've ever had next to my Moms. We both had soups of different kind, definitely home made and served hot! We split a sandwich that was delicious. The service was Great! Two sweet ladies doing everything outside of the kitchen, and happy , friendly and smiling. I highly recommend stopping here for great home-cooked reasonably priced food with Wonderful Friendly Service.
Great food, very pleasant staff, clean.
Great place to eat! We stopped here for dinner and had a wonderful experience. The food is delicious and the prices are very reasonable. Staff was also friendly!
Was great service really good food
Very busy on a Sunday morning, but we were seated quickly. Friendly service, great food, and the host apologized for the kitchen delay even though we weren't in a hurry.
Amazing food, the owner Andrew is super nice, everyone who works there is great.
A great spot to stop! We got the BLT and meat omelet for dinner, and both were very delicious! The prices were amazing, and our waitress was very kind. We also loved the small-town diner feel along with the easy location to and from Deep Creek Lake. Although we did not stay in the motel to which the restaurant is attached, I like the idea and ease of convince for motel tenants. We will definitely be back!
The waitress and food was great.
Great local diner with reasonable prices. The broccoli and cheese soup in a breadbowl was today's special. It very tasty and filling. Drink was included.
We were looking for local restaurant in Oakland for dinner (choices are very limited) when we stumbled across 3rd St. Diner. It's a no frills restaurant that has a basic menu. The staff is very pleasant and we were seated promptly. Two of us had the hot roast beef sandwich with potatoes, while the third had a hamburger with fries. The meat was home cooked and tasty, and the fries were fine. I wish the gravy would have homemade, but ... They had a large selection of pies for dessert (some were homemade while others were store bought). I tried a slice of raspberry zinger. It was ok, not too sweet, but light on the raspberry taste.
