French toast was tasty.. everything was cold though . A young lady was our server, and she did not want bothered. Bad service can ruin a meal.

Great place for breakfast. Stopped by and wasn't disappointed. Big portions, friendly staff, decent prices, esp with everything going on. Make the stop and enjoy the atmosphere and food.

Absolutely love this place! The owner always warmly greets our family and the food and service is always consistently stellar! The omelettes are spectacular! A wonderful gem in our adorable town of Oakland!

Oakland Motel

An American Diner with specials and other great dinning items. Breakfast all day available. A great value for your pocket book compared to franchise and corporate assembly line food. Its locally owned by a great team of people providing courteous service and supporting the local economy with fresh ingredients.

As stated in the title, we ate here about 4 nights apart. I had the same thing as nothing else on the menu appealed to me, a hot turkey sandwich. There was plenty of gravy on it both visits, but for some reason they make their mashed potatoes lumpy. Some may like that, I suppose, but I do not. And it was real turkey, big pieces. I had a dessert of a caramel sundae our second visit, it needed more caramel sauce and less of the fake whipped topping. On our first visit, my wife had fish which had very little breading the way she likes it. On our second visit, she had the special, a rigatoni with meatballs. The meatballs were very large and she really could not finish them. She said they were good. It wasn't crowded either visit and service was very good. As other restaurants in Oakland, though it is part of the OakMar Motel, it does not open for breakfast except on weekends.

Got the Capt crunch French toast and hash browns. Good food, fast service. Good local place to eat while in the area.

The turkey Reuben was excellent! My friend had a 12 oz ribeye that looked perfect. And the cherry pie and bread pudding topped off the meal. It was all great!

Great food. Always try to find a little restaurant off the beaten path while on vacation. This place did not disappoint.

My sister and I had lunch here on a Monday. She had a cheese and mushroom omelette. She said the mushrooms were generously sautéed in butter, so be warned, this is not diet food. But it was delicious with also generously buttered rye toast. I had a club sandwich in a wrap. The friendly waitress assured me u was going to love it and she was correct. Generous (there's that word again) portions of turkey, ham and bacon. It was a little light on cheese, but still excellent. I could only eat half. Overall, we really liked our experience.

We went for breakfast— portions were big and food was great. I had the Bart’s Big Omelette, which was giant and delicious! Rest of family enjoyed their pancakes and french toast.
