A former pharmacy/general store/lunch counter that now houses antique consignments. The cafe was great: Old school lunch counter and booths, servers were helpful and friendly, and the food was great. (We had lunch)We didn’t get one, but the milkshakes were in high demand!

I visited here several times when I was working with Habitat For Humanity; the place has a comforting atmosphere, and seems like a cross between an antique shop, restaurant and social club. The vibe is friendly to all, definitely recommended for visitors to the area.

I came in from Virginia Beach, VA, and had breakfast there, and the French toast was on point. Great food and good family-friendly vibe. The thrift store shopping after in-house was a bonus.

I want to thank the woman behind the counter who packed up my vintage dishes and ornaments so carefully. We made it all the way back to Laurel (3 hours plus stops) and everything arrived safely. Fun store and good food for breakfast or lunch. A must-stop if you’re anywhere near Deep Creek Lake.

Let me preface by saying, we always try to support local restaurants and I was with 5 other people. We noticed right away the menu items were more expensive than anticipated. It took almost 90 minutes to receive our food and the quality was lower than it should've been. Toward the 75 minute mark, we notice 3 other couples, whom arrived after us, receive their orders, pay and leave. We questioned the server about this and got an argumentative response rather than a rational explanation. I understand being busy, but I find this unacceptable

Did not eat here. But, everything under the sun when it comes to nick nacks and arts and crafts and antiques.

What a gem! We visited Oakland for Labor Day weekend and decided to have breakfast in town one morning. We stumbled upon Englanders antique store and noticed they had a diner inside. It's the original diner/soda foundation counter that's been there since the 40s. It was busy but we recieved excellent, fast service. The bacon, eggs, and toast were delicious. I loved that they had everything we needed on the table, including straws, jelly, and syrup. After breakfast, we enjoyed strolling through the antique store. Lots of neat finds! Clean and well organized. If you go on a Saturday morning, you can walk from there to the Farmer's Market across the street (in season). Highly recommend Englanders! We will definitely be back.

Check out the old school lunch counter inside the store. Comfort food and giant root beer floats that evoke good memories!

They have a vast variety of antiques from glassware, coins/money, toys, tools, books sport memorabilia, records and small furniture. It’s a great place to visit when the weather gets gloomy.

Stopped in for breakfast. For an older establishment this is a must see if you are in Okaland, MD. The store itself is a gem with lots of antiques and odds and ends. I do recommend the sausage gravy breakfast and the steak n eggs. Both were delicious.
