I chose this place based on positive reviews. The transformation from a motel to a boutique-style one-bedroom resort is impressive. The fact that it is pet-friendly is a great feature, as it can be challenging to find vacation accommodations that allow pets. The room was cute, though a bit small. It is clean and conveniently located near the beach and boardwalk. The pool and bar adjacent to our room were enjoyable, with good drinks and affordable food. The bartender, Laurie, was amazing and provided excellent service. We met friendly locals at the pool but they do take over all beach chairs most of the day.The designated dog-walking area provided waste bags was nice, at night was lovely & peaceful. Room was clean but was cramped especially the tight bathroom too small with minimal storage space. We found small pests, possibly weevils, was a concerning issue that needs to be addressed. Additionally, the Wi-Fi connection was frustratingly slow, making it difficult to stream movies.

The accommodations are adequate and the unit was clean with newer furnishings. However, a few things to know if you are staying here: 1) the walls are super thin. We could hear the people in the room next to us talking at 2am (wasn’t a raised voice, just normal conversation). In fact the walls are so thin that someone using the TV remote in the room next door was able to turn on our TV in the middle of the night. 2) The adjacent Shaka pool bar is fun, and we enjoyed it the first day, but then they had an event here that we didn’t expect that went well into the evening. A local radio station rented out the whole place and brought a loud DJ booth blasting music and a crowd of people. Not only did this really betray the “quiet” part of the hotel name, it was a major nuisance. All the event guests took the hotel parking, and made it impossible to park. I also wouldn’t call this event family friendly — it was not the kind of event where you’d want kids around. As an added bonus, the event brought some characters to the hotel, including a dude rolling joints right outside our room! 3) Finally, I don’t exactly know what happened, but the first morning someone came into the room unexpectedly at 8am. They had the door combo and just burst in… until we sat up in bed and exchanged an awkward “uh, hello?” I suspect it was a staff member, but there is no safety latch on the doors, so anyone who knows the room code can apparently just come on in (making me think the code isn’t changed between guests?)! Not sure I would stay here again; the next door Holiday Inn might have been a better bet for the price and certainly would be a more predictable accommodation.

Stood there for a weekend and it was clean, cute and quiet . Only issue we had were some ants in the bathroom. But other than that it was great.

I'm only writing this review in case it comes into attention with the owners, I've tried their website and it's non-existent or broken, phone line is always busy. It's hard to believe in all honesty. They have a very lovely spot there's a pool, 2 bars, a terrace and plenty of space. I honestly would love to spend a weekend here with friends but I don't know what's the availability, unless your policy is first come first serve, but still it would be nice to know. I hope they fix it.

We stayed here through Airbnb and loved it. It was charming, cute, clean, and close to attractions (but the bridge can get busy). It’s got an awesome renovated 1950s motel feeling that gives it some awesome character. My wife and I stayed for 4 nights and it was really nice. Rooms are not big but can definitely sleep a family of 4 with the queen bed and pullout sofa but Bathrooms are definitely snug. The price was much less expensive than the hotels nearby. There was a bar/restaurant and a nice pool right across from the room. The owner was very easy to reach when needed.

Was excited to try this place since they upgraded to a Airbnb. The room was nice. It advertises cable tv. It was only Roku. It claims free WiFi, when it works. Email the owner 3 times, he said someone will look at it. It was never fixed. Bathroom had hair stubble around the sink and one of the bath towels had a long hair on it.
