I wanted to buy some pastries because they looked good. I asked when they were made and was told 3 days or more for most of them. I did buy some but one of them was hard as a brick. Good thing I checked before I left the store. I asked for my card to be credited and it was. Items were pricey especially when none were fresh. Bagels were not that great either.

Bagels were great and the croissant was also delicious. The service was very fast and the energy was kind! Definitely a great stop to grab something delicious to start your day.

Food is ok. Manager/owner (person in charge) was rude, disrespectful, and mean. I said my order was delayed and he accused me of yelling at the staff, threw me out, and threatened to call the cops. I was respectful to the staff. We went back later to work things out and he threw us out again. I get bagels at Giant now. This place isn't worth the trouble. I'd give 0 stars if I could.

Our go-to bagel place in the area. Perfect balance of fluff and chew, with a good variety to choose from. Also have spreads (though a bit pricey). Donuts, pastries, and cookies all -look- delicious although we haven't tried them yet.

We went to the Royal Bagel Bakery for a Sunday brunch. What a delightful surprise! The bagels were fresh & tasty, and our pastry was enormous & filling. The place was bopping, but the service was still excellent & friendly. 100% satisfied; highly recommend.

Everytime I've gotten a takeout order, it's handed to me in the box from kitchen. However, I've noticed some customers get their takeouts placed in bags. As mentioned, owner is rude. I asked for bag and it was rudely handed to me. Don't understand why certain customers get different service.Poor customer service

Interesting how with carry out orders, certain customers get food put in a bag while certain customers don't.

Owner is very rude. He gets away with it, because there are not many bakeries in the area. However, he is very disrespectful. I ordered ahead, got there, and the order was not ready. He took no accountability and blamed me for it. Don't have the time to argue with a business owner, who clearly doesn't care about customer service--never returning.

Anyone that knows bagels in the DMV knows that there are a few hidden gems tucked away here and there around the area. Unfortunately, the Royal Bagel Bakery isn't one of those hidden gems. The best test of a bagel shop is to order their lox and whitefish bagels, so I got one of each. at $13.50 per order, it was significantly more expensive than a similar bagel at Bethesda Bagels or Brooklyn Bagels (two strong contenders for best bagels in the region). When I got home to eat them, I noticed that the bagel with the nova lox bagel was a bit stale, and most likely had not been baked that morning. I also noticed that I had to add my own capers, because they weren't anywhere to be found. the quality of the bagels were just okay, but not to the caliber of any bagel place in the region. I had such high hopes, but this spot ended up being a disappointment. I almost deducted a star for the long wait time, but two stars seems appropriate.
