I was very presently surprised with this restaurant. I had a wonderful meal. The staff was kind and attentive. They asked if we would like to be near the fireplace which was very nice. I wouldn't call this place fancy but had wonderful made from scratch food. I would recommend.Food: 5/5

Having become a fan of poutine, once I found it on their menu, I had to try it. They do it as an appetizer, so my wife and I shared one. Did not disappoint. French Dip as my main course and there was no room for desert. Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner there. Nice place.

Same great food for 10+ years. Best ribs and chicken, and must get the cream of crab soup. For sides, they make the best cole slaw I've ever had. Nice relaxed restaurant, staff always friendly, not too big or too fancy. Just a couple minutes from Solomons Island.

This place was phenomenal. The food was the best I have ever had. The ribs and chicken were absolutely mouthwatering. The fries and brown gravy made me want to lick the plate. Someone in my party had the crab soup and raved about it. The other subject had fish that just fell apart and was cooked perfectly. The customer service was fantastic and the restaurant was clean and a great environment. If you want the best food ever, I suggest this place 1000%.

We had a wonderful breakfast. Husband had cream chipped beef and the biscuits were light, fluffy and yummy. I had the Breakfast enchiladas with chorizo and house made salsa. They were scrumptious with perfect eggs cooked over medium. Chef Lou came out of the kitchen to check on us to be sure we were satisfied. Overall, a great dining experience. Looking forward to our next visit.

Couple of biddies of mine and I went to my old shore house in Solomons 11-21-22 to winterize the house for the winter. We wanted a simple dinner close to home and decided to go to Boomerangs. Was a Monday evening about 6:30 and I was surprised to find the place pretty busy. We did get seated right away though although having to opt for the bar side, but no big deal. I wasn't super hungry, so I got a bowl of homemade chili and a side garden salad. Both were very good. There was a sign as you entered saying there was a $2 surcharge on salads, whatever. We all enjoyed out food and escaped for about $70. Have always been satisfied with my orders and the higher prices are just the way things are these days. It's not going to stop me from going out.

We had the Crab Frittata and it was amazing! Amanda was an excellent server and is an asset to Boomarangs. It was incredible to see Lou visit each table to make sure everything was OK. The service was outstanding!Food: 5/5

The breakfast was top notch, the crab Frittata was amazing, the biscuit was fresh and hot and the sausage gravy was as good as mine(or better). All I can say is WOW, well done! We've always had exceptional food and service, Amanda, Lou and Boomerang's did not disappoint.

Fantastic food - I always enjoy the scallops. They sometimes have the most delicious roasted red potatoes in the evening. They are usually a breakfast item but if they have them for dinner make sure to get some. The bread pudding is a great dessert choice as well.

Service was good but I walked in, smelled moth balls and I was completely turned off. I was with others so I felt obligated to stay and order. So my mind went fried because it will kill any possible bacteria. Food was bland. Husband liked his burger and it looked like it was cooked perfectly. Kids were content.

The desk clerk at the hotel recommended Boomerangs for great cream of crab soup, crab cakes and ribs. We visited on a weeknight so did not have (or need) reservations. We were seated almost immediately. The interior is not high end nor is the restaurant a waterfront restaurant. The server was friendly and informative. We ordered a shared bowl of cream of crab soup and were not disappointed. It is truly the best cream of crab soup that I have ever tasted! I ordered a half rack of ribs with cole slaw and hush puppies. My wife ordered a crab cake with squash and a garden salad. . My ribs were very meaty, fall off the bone tender and the sauce was perfect. The cole slaw was excellent and my wife stole half of it. Her crab cake was at least 80% pure crab meat with very little filler and it was broiled to perfection. The squash was okay and the hush puppies were - hush puppies. The prices were very reasonable and the food arrived quickly and was piping hot. There was plenty of free parking by the door and the entire restaurant seemed fully accessible. We highly recommend Boomerangs. Go for the food and then go walk on the boardwalk for the atmosphere.

Our server, Amanda, was wonderful. Very friendly and engaging - excellent knowledge of the menu and had great recommendations. Food was outstanding. Cream of crab soup great balance of flavor with crab that was fresh and sweet. Fried brussel sprouts done perfectly, balsamic not overpowering. Ribs were delicious. Everything we had was great.

We've been to Boomerangs many times for breakfast but never dinner. Every restaurant in Solomons was packed so we decided to give Boomerangs a try for dinner on Labor Day. The restaurant was empty. There were about 5 other tables besides us. The service was super slow and everything took forever. I tried to have a conversation with our waitress but she had no personality and barely interacted with the table. She had a nasty attitude......clearly she did not want to be there working.Although my dinner was delicious my sons mac and cheese was watery and had no flavor. I paid $7.25 for Kraft mac and cheese! Definitely not homemade and that was very disappointing! No one came around to see how everything was going or to offer refills. I waited so long for a refill that I got up myself to go find my server. We had a different server for everything (one took the order, one came with the food, one gave us refills, one came with the check) Who gets the tip? Do they split tips? That seems unfair.Being that it was super slow I would have expected the service to be better. I'll just stick to their breakfast- they seem to work better when the place is jammed back.

Try Boomerang's POUTINE (pronounced poo-TEEN), a stick-to-the-ribs staple of Canadian diners and home-style buffets. It’s French fries and cheese curds smothered in brown gravy, and it’s even more delicious than mac & cheese, but my husband and I have never found Poutine in the US—until now! The menu of Boomerang’s in Solomons island features this dish, and they've improved the recipe. Their version is better than the original: theirs features tater tots and cheese AND the most delicious homemade gravy you’ve ever tasted!
