We visited here for the first time. Crystal was our server. We sat outside enjoying the great weekend weather on a Friday. The drinks were amazing. The service from Crystal was spectacular and the food was perfectly prepared. Highly recommended!! Appetizers must: Tournedos Huitre
Stopped in for a bite with my daughter after walking on the boardwalk in Solomons this evening. We had the prosciutto wrapped figs appetizer and cream of crab soup. The figs were fresh and flavorful and the soup came with a shotglass of Sherry which when added to the creamy broth gave it that perfect balance and depth. We enjoyed the outdoor dining area along the sidewalk in front of the building where we had an ideal view of sun as it was setting over the bay. The service was great. We would definitely go again.
Halloween 2022 special occasion. First time there with my daughter, her boyfriend and my boyfriend. My daughter and her boyfriend paid on a tab, no problem. We ordered a shot and a White Russian twice and then one White Russian. 3 separate orders. Each time we paid cash and left a tip. Three lady bartenders, not really busy for a bar from my past experiences and one bartender asked me to pay for my second round of drinks again. After letting her know I already paid she left. When she came back she says the other bartenders said they didn't take my money. So the bartender told me not to worry about it. I know who I paid so your drawer will come put balanced if you forgot or short if you are of bad character but either way first and last time for us there. Very insulting.
Passable food. Service needs vast improvement. Management communication to employees is non-existant. If you schedule an event there, be sure the staff are fully aware of the contractual (written or verbal) agreements are in advance or you will be paying far more than you agreed upon. Not impressed and probably will not return.
Great food, helpful and gracious serving staff. Dinner well paved. Not too slow or too fast. Just a hint; if there is a large noisy party on the porch, ask for a table somewhere else in the restaurant. Porch does have a lovely water view that is higher than street level.
Service on the slower side but servers are nice. Food is excellent! Worth coming to to enjoy a nice afternoon
Great music and outdoor casual dining.
The wife's steak was not medium like she asked but still tasty. I ordered pasta. Portion, the noodle was small and garlic bread was hard as a rock. The meal was average cost. The cost of soft drink and ice tea was 5.25 each.
The location is perfect. Great view of the water. The atmosphere is nice, the service was great, the food was good. It's a bit pricey bit I would recommend. We've been to this restaurant twice. Both visits were equally enjoyable.
The food was great, our server (Ashley) was amazing, and the entertainment (Ben) was awesome. A perfect night out with my family! Definitely will be back!
First time here at Bugeye Grill. Ashley was our server and she gave her recommendations and they were on point. Every thing was amazing from the food, drinks to the outside entertainment. Ashley is a doll and made us feel at home. We will definitely be returning very soon!
Had a lovely time. Food was delicious, speedy service, and location was perfect for 4th of July celebration. This place serves the famous Smith Island cake, which I had been dying to try. The bartender Preston was attentive and went out of his way to make me me a lemonade. Great experience. Certainly on my list to visit next time I am in town.
We enjoyed and great meal for a great price at Bugeye. We had no wait and sat outside with a beautiful water & bridge view. The waitress brought us a mason jar of olives and glasses of water. I was excited to learn that when you order a flight, it includes a free appetizer. So, we started with a flight of tequila and the Pesto Shrimp Saute- AMAZING!!! It had a ncie presentation and flavor. I enjoyed their Wedge salad, as well. For dinner, we enjoyed the Club and French Dip sandwiches. Both were great! As we all know, the bread makes the sandwich and the French Dip was delicious and crazy soft. We ended with a Smith Island cake- yellow with a chocolate ganache icing. We highly recommend this gem. We got everything for listed for under $100.
Great food, reasonable prices, great atmosphere. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating with bars inside and outside. They sometimes have live bands playing outside. Located across the street from the boardwalk/pier area overlooking the Gov Thomas Johnson Bridge. The menu is not all seafood so if you're looking for a good burger or sandwich this is the place to go.
Great location but very poorly ran. You can go here almost 365 days a year and the menu will be the same. No specials, no menu changes or updates and nothing new, ever. If you want a steak or pork chop, a pasta dish or mussels, this is your place, but if you want anything else, don't waste your time. The hours are terrible too. In Solomons, there's nearly always a concert going on. The management never opens before 5pm to feed everyone. For us, we might stop by if they were open but they aren't. Instead, we almost always go to the crowded restaurants around Bugeye. I suppose that Bugeye makes enough money that they aren't interested in making more I'm shocked that Bugeye hasn't closed yet.
