My husband and I recently visited Bugeye Grill, located in Solomons Island, MD on Valentine's Day! He made dinner reservations a week in advance . . . And he really outdid himself Upon arrival, we were escorted to the second level of the restaurant and to a private dining area, where it was dimly lit for a romantic atmosphere, and guests were entertained by a gentleman in the corner named Jonah playing on a piano ?Our server, a young woman named Leah, was very nice; the food and beverages were excellent; and the entertainment was exquisite ?It was truly a beautiful and perfect and magical evening!!! And my husband and I wish to thank everyone at Bugeye Grill who played a part in making our Valentine's Day a wonderful one ❤️Whether you're a local or just visiting the Solomons Island area, and looking for a taste of the best of what the Chesapeake Bay has to offer . . . I highly recommend dining at Bugeye Grill ?Parking: You're best bet, if not too crowded, is to park somewhere along the boardwalk across the street from the restaurant! That way you can also enjoy a leisurely walk before or after enjoying your meal ?

Our valentine's dinner lastnight was absolutely perfect. Very romantic spot with excellent service. The wild rose margarita was delicious and so pretty, It had tiny rosebuds. I highly recommend the marinated flank steak.

A coworker recommended the Bugeye Grill as a venue for a company dinner so I contacted the coordinator and was able to quickly schedule the day/time & party size of my choosing. Upon the day of the event, we were personally greeted and settled in a private and beautiful upstairs river-side dining area. The staff was wonderful and the food was excellent! I highly recommend this hidden delight located on the Solomons for group or smaller occasions.
Excellent restaurant, all the good was very good. Party of three, we shared two appetizers and each got a meal. The crab spring rolls were good, great taste and nice, light crispy dough. The sauce was a little cloying, but I just used less. The lobster risotto appetizer was DELICIOUS! Probably my favorite dish. Big pieces of perfectly cooked lobster on top, delicious cheesy risotto that went perfect and we all loved every bite. The mahi mahi was good, albeit a tiny bit dry.. the jerk spices were definitely spicy, which is how I like it. The tuna was a surprising favorite. Just seared, warm but still pink in the middle so I was surprised how delicious and steak like it was. I'm guessing tuna lovers would be very pleased with this dish!! The seafood fettuccine was absolutely delicious as well. Nice plump, perfectly cooked seafood and the fettuccine itself was well cooked and so tasty with the broth. Also has a couple pieces of dessert that were good.. The toffee bunt cake in particular was a surprisingly nice treat and not too sweet. Thanks for a great meal.Vegetarian options: If you're a pesca-vegetarian like me then this is a great option obviously! If not, then there aren't that many options besides modified dishes.. test a seafood restaurant so the options cater to people looking to eat great seafood.

We attended the wine dinner upstairs on 1/12/24 and were very happy with our meal. The food was very good so my compliments to the chef! We had scallops, duck and pork tenderloin paired with some very tasty wines from the west coast.It was a great experience!

I came to have lunch and was disappointed you didn’t serve until 12:00 on Saturday. I understand it has the best seafood also. Maybe next time?? Hope you will reconsider lunch times.
