I've always ordered the sea bass, a $33 entree, but we had it last night and it wasn't the same quality piece of fish. I think it used to be fresh, but what I got last night was a uniformly cut, previously frozen, fishy tasting piece that looked and tasted nothing like they'd served previously. In the past, it flaked perfectly, had a fresh flaky texture and tasted delicious. But what I got was mushy and had a completely different flavor and texture. I won't have it again. We also had the $14 crabcake appetizer that included 2 crabcakes. However, they were more bread than crab but the flavor was good and the presentation was lovely. The desserts, a carrot cake and chocolate tart were delicious. The service was a bit slow, but they were pretty crowded and it would be nice if they took reservations because we had to wait an hour and we went early, at 5:30 PM thinking we'd beat the Saturday night crowd. I'll return because we enjoy the warm, cozy ambiance, but I won't order the sea bass again.

The food was very good, with large portions. However, the wait was extremely long. The wait staff was slow to check on us between the appetizer and main course and also messed up that we did not want salads. After waiting for 30 minutes for our food, the waiter never apologized for the lengthy delay. We were one of the last guests in the restaurant and the staff didn’t thank or acknowledge us as we were leaving. Definitely would not return.

We had to leave. The host/owner/aggressively hostile angry guy greeting people was so rude we left and went somewhere else. I usually am empathetic to people without social skills but not when they become aggressive. It was busy but still looks like a dollar store with paint

We dine here frequently. The service is consistently great as is the food. I often enjoy the shrimp scampi but tried the Gnocchi with sausage tonight. The spice was perfect. My husband usually has a piece of fish and the salmon is always prepared perfect. The atmosphere is a mix of casual and upscale, we will dine here for special events and also a weekday dinner. We’re so happy they are in Bangor.

Went here with my folks before a play. It seems to be a popular place for the after work crew, so plan on that and come early (5pm or even a little sooner--although there seemed to be a little lull at one point just before we left). I highly recommend Grampa Joe's Elk and Corn Chowder. The lobster Mac&Cheese is also really good as are the steaks. Our server (Derek) was amazing. There is also a lot of fun, eclectic art decorating the walls. Although not cheap, portion sizes are large for such a "fancy" place. It's great place to visit if you're in town.
We've been coming for years, but, sadly, the service was terrible. My food was overcooked (seafood fettuccine - both the seafood and the pasta were overdone, but I believe it was likely sitting under the line heat lamp for quite some time.) Server never asked how the food was, was hard to understand with the mumbling, not attentive in any way. We adore the owners, but this was an unfortunate evening.

Our seafood pasta was delicious and cooked just right. It was our first time here. If you want to talk, it was noisy between the music and the customers talking. One wall had exposed brick which was attractive. Service was very good.

A hip modern restaurant with lots of choices without being overwhelming. Saturday night was pretty busy but no wait! The service was great as well as the drinks and the pizzas we tried!
Great elk and corn chowder! Spicy and very flavorful. Tuscan salmon was good but a tad salty for my taste.
