Best loaf of bread I’ve had in a long time. Crusty on the outside and just perfect on the inside. Also wonderful sandwiches and panacotta. Good wine selection as well.

We had the mussels delicately cooked with a nice sauce the pasta carbonara was wonderful and the chicken stuffed with spinach and ricotta wrapped in bacon with a mushroom sauce was to die for. Chef Massimo greeted us when we walked in and the staff took great care of us. Finally the panacotta dessert finished the dinner off. We will be back!!

We really, really enjoyed Massimo's. The restaurant is beautiful, the atmosphere was great and the food was amazing! Better than some of the meals we had in Italy! Everything we ordered was on point - mussels, rocket salad, osso buco, carbonara and delicious panna cotta. Absolutley no complaints. We will definitely be going back to try more!

Bold, authentic, flavorful, thoughtfully-prepared Roman fare as good or better than anything you can even get in NYC at this price point. Easily the best restaurant in Bangor. I definitely try to stop in here for dinner anytime I’m in town.

What happened? Years ago I called this my favorite place. The service is wonderful, but the food has declined. My friend was looking forward to Moscato. None. She asked for the salami cheese plate. None. My carbonara was way over cheesed. I'm disappointed, and not sure I'll be back after my last 2 visits.
Exceptional experience. The food, drinks and dessert were outstanding. Service was professional the way it should be. The only one drawback was the party loudly cackling behind us all evening. It was beyond annoying but the excellence of the place made up for it somehow.

I never leave reviews but this place blew my mind. The staff are very attentive, including the chef. The food is real Italian, better than anything in the area. Would recommend to anyone who can enjoy an amazing meal and an amazing experience.
