This is a small corner shop with a simple menu. I bought a lobster roll for $24. If was a fair price and had a good amount of straight fresh lobster, not frozen, on a warm buttered roll with a side of hot butter. Frankly this was better than the worthless $35 dollar one I bought from McSeagals 1/2 a block away that was full of shells, same portions, and a long wait behind tourists.

I would definitely come back here and avoid the hassle of dealing with the other options in the area if you want a sinple grab and go experience. It was a nice warm fall day and there are benches right outside by the public docks you can sit at. Thank you!

This location does 1 thing, and it does it very well. The lobster roll was tasty, perfect proportions and beautiful. Just as important to note was the wonderful service. Owner Shannon and her mom were behind the counter and were the sweetest people, so welcoming. In fact my own mom was with me and was not planning to get anything, but Shannon overheard her talking about having different preferences and enthusiastically said they could totally do that, even offering extra butter and some other ideas to zhuzh it up. This place was such a wonderful, tasty, and quick find!

Lobster rolls were good. Not the best i’ve ever had but definitely tasty. These are cold lobster rolls just fyi. I also tried the grilled cheese lobster and was not a fan/would not recommend. The cheese and lobster created a very fishy taste and lobster should never be fishy. The price is the cheapest in the area. Convenient if you’re getting off a boat tour.

Excellent fresh food. We have eat the Lobster Rool Trio. So tasty!

Eat outside on the wharf or at the rail in the shack. Best lobster roll ever and reasonably priced too. Nothing but lobster on a bun. Gluten Free buns were available too. Will be back next time we are in town.

We brought some out-of-town guests to Shannon's Express for lobster rolls this week. The lobster was excellent - meat fresh and delicious, rolls nicely grilled, and warm, drawn butter on the side.

The reason for the 4 star review is related to pricing. A huge outdoor sign and chalkboard advertised a $22 lobster roll. When we paid, staff pointed out an interior sign where the price was overwritten to $24. Although we felt this price was still fair and probably a management oversight, it still made us feel like they were more concerned with their profits than treating customers with respect.

If you’re interested in great Maine seafood and amazing chicken tenders, you’re at the right spot to stop at Shannon’s! Her passion to accommodate all her guests and her kindness glows from a far! She is extremely sweet and you can tell her staff enjoy working with her in giving the best experience to both locals and new comers! We experienced her dishes at the boothbay railroad village and I followed from there since she has her store that is LITERALLY four minutes away! My son (he’s two) and I enjoy sharing the chicken tenders! Nobody makes them like Shannon! It is now a tradition to go and grab a bite at Shannon’s unshelled before hitting the trains!! Thank you again Shannon and staff! I look forward to our next visit ♥️

This is a carry out restaurant but well worth the stop! The lobster roll was Delicious! Each roll had a whole half lobster tail and claw meat. They are served with drawn butter and lemon. And best part...they were only $20.00...best price in town!

The lobster grill cheese was out of this world! For $20 we expected less lobster but were overjoyed with the quality and quantity of lobster plus the bread is crispy and delicious-grilled to perfection. The owner was super friendly-fast service and GF options. A must try

The cheapest lobster roll in the area, only $20 while it’s $35 elsewhere in the area. The owner lowered the price because she wants the local residents able to enjoy the lobster roll as well, not only tourists. Amazing!
