Small restaurant but really good food. Wait staff were excellent. Reservations needed most nights, I suspect. Some reviews suggested some dishes weren't good, but we enjoyed everything. Food was hot, flavorful, cooked properly, and a good value.

Warm, friendly, cozy, and, delicious, delicious, delicious. Our group of four Boston culinary adventurers had the pleasure of dining at Ribollita on this weekend of historic coastal flooding.Selected by me representing the vegetarian segment for the white bean hazelnut ravioli, it was a pleasant discovery to learn that the restaurant namesake was also vegetarian, sadly not even promoted as same. All of us ordered the ribollita and almost ordered seconds.Worth noting we also ordered one carafe each of the “house” red and white wine which was perfect for the meal.Great place and we can’t wait to return.John and JonVegetarian options: Our server was extremely helpful in helping us navigate our vegetarian dietary preferences since the menu is not particularly clear.

I’ve been coming to Ribolitta for at least 20 years. It was an Epiphany Eve meal with family though our intrepid trekker was on the Long Trail in VT. Our waitress was lovely, very solicitous but didn’t hover. She refilled water glasses throughout our meal. The starting bread with rosemary and crunchy salt was perfect. We ordered the Ribolitta (soup), Caesar salad and panzanella. Wow each very different, each delicious. The Ribolitta was deliciously aromatic to the entire table. For our main entrees, we had chicken puttanesca, gnocchi with prosciutto and peas and Tuscan fish stew. Good flavor in each, good depth. Nothing too heavy. Sauces were unique to each dish. It’s obvious the effort of the kitchen in preparing these dishes. We finished the meal with vanilla bean flan and chocolate torte with raspberry sauce. The flan was caramel-forward in a good way. Food was delivered just right. We were checked in on a couple of times and weren’t rushed. Nice meal, good service. We’ll be back!

Ribollita never disappoints. It's a small, quaint restaurant that has been a solid fixture of the community for many years. It's locally-owned and they serve classic homemade, Italian meals. The location and relaxed atmosphere are great. You can have an amazing meal at nearly all price ranges. Highly recommend checking it out!Vegetarian options: White bean Ravioli

Confirming some of the other reviews - service/kitchen is slow, food isn't very flavorful and ambience is lacking. The server stopped by to offer salt and pepper after our food had been delivered (which would have been a clue if I hadn't already tried some of my dish) but then never came back to deliver the salt and pepper.

We attempted the Italian Bizarre and opted for Ribollita instead. We are so glad we did. First, we recommend reservations. We lucked out with a last-minute table this evening. The interior is quaint. We opted for a bottle of Chianti. It tasted well, but my husband would have preferred the server to refill our glasses. We ordered a Caesar salad to share. It was a hefty portion. It's definitely enough to share. The complimentary bread was, eh? The bread tasted stale and could have used oil for dipping. For our main meal I chose the ravioli and my partner chose the gnocchi. Both meals were hearty and full of flavor. The pan sear on the gnocchi was unique and added a bite I didn't expect. We'll be back!

Extremely overrated!I’m not sure how this establishment has received a 4.4 star rating. Inside is a cramped and stuffed atmosphere…very miserable (like our server) who I can’t even name drop because she never introduced herself. Upon arrival you can expect to receive 4 crouton-sized bread crumbs as an “appetizer”; when you would like to eat more than a NYC street pigeon they scoff at the request of more bread. Pro tip: don’t follow this up with the handful of cardboard calamari that’ll run you $13.95. Plan to bring some entertainment (for when soaking in your misery gets old) while you wait for your entrees. Don’t let the anticipation build too much during your one hour wait. Expect edible food with a pathetic amount of flavor delivered with a side of unbearable attitude. This restaurant is an insult to Italy and the uncomfortable atmosphere made me wish I took my girlfriend dumpster diving instead. We loved the girl bussing our table I wish we could’ve tipped her.

You can’t beat amazing service, but when it is paired with FANTASTIC food, you are really onto something. They are certainly onto something at Ribollita. From wire to wire, the food was great and we feasted. Muscles, antipasto and calamari to start - staples, no doubt, but the fresh flavors were really good. Our mains included pasta puttanesca, pan seared gnocchi with prosciutto and peas (wicked good), fettuccine and seafood linguine - there is no way to do justice to any of them in a review - go there now an try!!! Deserts were great, but none better than the vanilla bean flan. Our server couldn’t have been more helpful - suggesting a Chianti, absorbing our goofy questions (what is YOUR favorite pasta?) and laughing with us along the way. We look forward to returning soon!

Ate at Ribollitas and it was phenomenal. The homemade pasta was outstanding. All our dishes were delicious and came out hot!
