First of all, I love the fact that there’s an all vegan ice cream shop. Especially love the choice of ingredients. I wish I could rate this higher but the ice cream is just too sweet for me. It’s not really refreshing the way ice cream should be… I’m always thirsty afterwards.

I had high hopes for Sticky Sweet but given their social media posts about supporting the Black Lives Matter movement. However, my recent visit was incredibly disappointing and highlighted a stark contrast between their public image and the reality of their treatment of Black customers.
From the moment I went there, I felt unwelcome. The staff seemed more focused on chatting among themselves than acknowledging my presence, while other customers received friendly greetings and attentive service. It was disheartening to witness such blatant favoritism.
When I finally approached the counter, the staff’s demeanor changed completely. There was a noticeable lack of respect, and I was met with dismissive attitudes. It felt as though my presence was a burden rather than a valued part of their business.
It's frustrating to see a business use social justice rhetoric to market themselves while their actions do not reflect those values. It’s not enough to post about supporting equality; real change starts at the ground level with how you treat all customers.
I sincerely hope that Sticky Sweet takes a hard look at their practices and addresses these issues. Until then, I cannot recommend this place. True support for the Black community involves genuine respect and inclusion, not just performative gestures.

I’ve been wanting to come here for a long time and finally had the opportunity on a trip up to Acadia- I was not at all disappointed. Some of the best vegan ice cream I’ve ever had- super creamy and delicious. My dad, who isn’t vegan, loved his as well.

Just incredible! First, love that this spot is a walk-up window. Felt very nostalgic. The people working were very pleasant and helpful. I had the pistachio in a waffle cone (both vegan+gluten free). My partner got tahitian vanilla. The flavors were fantastic, SO good! I can confidently say it’s the best ice cream I’ve ever had. The menu had four flavors when I visited: caramel date, cinnamon sugar cookie, pistachio and tahitian vanilla. If ever I am back in Portland, I’ll find a way to stop be Sticky Sweet again for sure.
The best plant based cold treats ever!!!! Check out the many flavors. It’s the ultimate solution for us, who are dairy challenged. Delicious.
