Stopped for lunch on Friday June 6th. Amazing lobster rolls and chowder with such beautiful views of the harbor! Fantastic experience!

My husband and I had the BEST experience. We came up to ME from TX and went to McLoon's on a Thursday around 3pm. It wasn't crowded. The vibe is friendly, low-key and beautiful!!! And the lobster roll is incredible. We will be ordering it on Gold Belly soon. I thought this in-person location would be much more commercialized. It's not, at all. It almost feels like you're at a good friend's back yard cook out, but with a ton of beauty.

YOU MUST VISIT MCLOONS!!! The lobster rolls were so amazing and fresh and it's the most gorgeous view!!!! I wish I had a chance to eat there again.

The food was fantastic, my husband got the Lobster Rolls Royce I had the regular Lobster Roll and we split a Cup of Clam Chowdah and Blueberry Bread Pudding with chocolate smores ice cream.

The location! What more can be said about the location? Quaint, beautiful, typical Maine decor. The lobster roll itself: I got it with butter (what they’re know for). It was delightful. A different taste from the typical mayo, but it was all in all wonderful.

McLoons Lobster Shack in South Thomaston, Maine, was highly recommended to us by a local, and it was well worth going out of our way to visit! My wife and I shared the Lobster Roll and Lobster Stew, and both dishes were packed with fresh, flavorful lobster. You could really taste the quality of the seafood, and every bite was delicious.

The location is beautiful, right on the water, with plenty of seating. We were fortunate enough to snag a table right by the shoreline, which made our meal even more memorable. Sitting there, enjoying the view and the amazing food, was the perfect way to spend an afternoon. We will definitely be back!

I’d say don’t tell anyone. But everyone knows. What makes a good lobster spot? It’s all about atmosphere, and what more would you want from McLoons? Don’t expect anything fancy! But is that last picnic table Maine’s best dining room?

This place was a recommendation for the best lobster roll and I am so glad we went with their judgement!! Omg this place is outstanding. We went at sunset and watched the view over the bay, and roasted marshmallows after having the best lobster roll we’ve ever had. Highly recommend!
