Atmosphere is exemplary. I had a really fine Caesar Salad--better than my own which I thought was pretty good! Looking forward to their May opening. It's vital to support local businesses.

We live on Deer Isle & have eaten at Acadia House Provisions many times. The last 4 experiences were terrible. Reservations dropped, food cold & inedible, & service rude. We've tried to give them every opportunity to win us back but they keep blowing it. We won't return & are very disappointed.

Creative menu, attentive service and lovely decor. The warm bread to start set the tone. French onion soup was a worthy addition. Not much here fir vegetarians but I bet if we asked they would have CCO accommodated. Worth it.

Cute little space with a lovely harbor view, creative menu and pleasant staff. Starts off great with warm bread. Onion soup was delicious. Mushroom on toast was a bit too cream heavy for my taste and same with the Ragu part of the roast chicken. (Though the main chicken was cooked perfectly. Wish the menu had a bit more variety-most of the mains were beef - burger, steak, meatloaf, short ribs. extensive drink menu worth pondering. A perfect fit for the cute town of stonington.

Lovely restaurant with a view that is like a post card. Service and food were excellent. The lobster pasta was unlike any I have ever had. Fabulous. Very quaint and cozy. Highly recommend.

This small place is one of two or three restaurants in the tiny seaside town of Stonington ME where we had never been before. People told us the place was always crowded and the other places in town were closed that night. Covid restrictions had left them short staffed and the room was full, but we soon learned this place was not only about good food but also addessing the needs of guests. When Brad the bartender found out we had a schedule to keep, he left his place behind the bar and stopped dashing around the dining room explaining the menu and filling wine glasses and brought us something that would not require too much prep time so that the other servers could concentrate on the other guests and we could meet our deadline. Afterwards he walked us to the door and reminded us it was night time in rural Maine and to remember to watch out for deer!

I cannot begin to explain just how horrible our experience was at Acadia House Provisions. Ordered champagne to start - didn’t have what we wanted so we settled on an alternate bottle. Ordered the mussels - they came cold. Ordered white wine - it came room temperature. The three main dishes my party ordered were pasta with lobster, scallops, and salmon. You guessed it - all came cold. The waitress was very nice but she never came back to check on us so we ate the cold food. She called over this APE, who I assume was the manager. I don’t know for certain because he never introduced himself. He proceeded to literally yell at us and said, and I quote, “so you are saying this is an execution problem”. We kept telling him the food was cold, but he had no interest in listening. He never apologized, just walked away from us. He was a proper j**** I understand the situation with restaurants being short staffed. We were patient, not in a rush, and happy to wait longer for our food if necessary. Just would have preferred it to be hot. We then got the pleasure of paying the bill. Will never go back!

Our final night in Stonington, we were able to get an 8:15 reservation. This place was phenomenal. We were seated at the best table in the house with a view of the water. The staff coached us through a wine selection to compliment our meals. The Salmon and Scallop dishes offered great flavor and a great presentation. We finished our bottle of wine with delicious desserts.

We really like this restaurant Bill the host was very sweet, however he did give my table away with the perfect view that I reserved in advance. The wait staff very personable but don’t ask for anything I mean anything that might be different like having a hamburger well done ( oh no we can’t do that) or the table next to us my Mom is allergic to olives can we have tat without olives ( oh no we can’t do that ) WOW!! Don’t ask for extra ice cream ( oh no we can’t do that ) Yikes!! But again, Iyou can’t help but like Bill and the wait staff and the coziness of the restaurant.Joanna

Keep in mind when sitting outside: the menu is limited compared to indoor dining. But that’s definitely didn’t stop us from enjoying a lobster roll , oysters on the half shell and a truffle oil & prosciutto pizza ??If you’re into cocktails, ask for their specials!

A really stunning restaurant in a great setting by the water, made even better by the care and attention of Alex who simply made our evening. Without going into lots of details, she found a way to accommodate us, and ensured we had the perfect end to our evening in Stonington. If you get the chance to try the Basque-style cheesecake, don't miss out. It's one of the most definitive and delicious desserts we've had in a long time. Thank you Alex and the team at Acadia House Provisions.

I’ll start with the view - it’s sensational. Food was good - but not great. Lunch menu quite limited inside - and even more limited outside. The lobster pasta was pretty good. The lobster roll wasn’t as good as in the shack next door or LDI.

Very disappointing. First of all - we were told by friends there was a tasting menu but we were not offered one when we arrived the entree menu consisted of lobster roll, burger, mussels, and penne with lobster sauce. We didn't understand why it was so limited but I ordered the lobster roll. I asked for fries instead of chips with my lobster roll and you would have thought I asked for the moon. The staff is clearly afraid of the chef. They are not allowed the smallest of substations. The lobster roll was fine but no better than any other I've had elsewhere. When we were done we heard the server asking the table next to us if they wanted the tasting menu. Wtf? When we asked why it was not offered to us they said it was too busy so they paused the tasting menu. Never heard of that anywhere else. They just didn't have their act together - that is understandable to some degree since folks are understaffed everywhere but they did not inform us and clearly the staff is intimidated by the chef who rules with an iron fist. Doubt we will go back.

This place is picturesque BUT it is a restaurant and your are supposed to feed people not show them cute food. The portions are miniscule (I am from New York city and I know small portions for $$$$). But this was just funny. Good view, smiley staff. Inappropriate prices and silly menu. Liquid cheese on toast??? Really? Burata cut in half on my salad? This is the same thing as serving half a poached egg. Silly.
