We had a group of 7 on a football Saturday. The restaurant was busy and food took a while, but our waitress let us know ahead and was attentive to our table. Food was good and portions very good size!
We wanted to eat in downtown Ann Arbor because we were going to a show at the Ark. We arrived about 6:30, knowing it was a home game weekend. We weren't expecting the insane crowds of people eating out, coupled with low staffing at many of our formerly favorite places to eat. We finally moved further north on Main Street and saw that Diamond Jim's didn't have a crazy crowd so we decided to try our luck. It was a great choice. A pity that we didn’t take pictures of our delicious dishes. I had the seared and roasted salmon, my husband had the Bad Axe Burger, and my niece had the Spanish octopus. They’re all savory, deliciously fantastic! It’s a noisy place but, hey, concentrate on savoring your food.
