Was excited to try Madcap but was disappointed by the atmosphere. The coffee is fine for grab and go but if you're wanting a coffeeshop vibe / place to hang out, this isn't going to be it. Most of the tables don't have chairs and that's clearly not their focus.

This was my go to for nearly a year and I can’t say enough good things about it, mainly the team who takes care of you every day, especially Evan! My onlyyyyy complaint is please get another milk alternative besides oat :)

Super modern ( not my personal taste, but aesthetically pleasing) I got an oat milk vanilla latte, it wasn’t the good tbh. It tasted very watered down & wasn’t sweet at all. But I think this would be a great place for REAL coffee drinkers!

I went here for a quick coffee before heading to the Lions game on Saturday. Going in the building, everything was white and sleek! The employees were nice. I was surprised that they were so busy at 630pm. There was at least a dozen people in there; they probably had the same idea as me! I believe they collaborated with another company to gave customers a free little chocolate with any drinks. I got a dirty chai latte and it was delicious!
such a welcomed sightreally wanted a flat white they have amazing coffee-espressoand clean washroom nice to get away from all the drunken LIONS fans in the area (game-day) only negative; asking the tip to START at 25%!? come one... owner / management must be paying $hit wages for that level of request..

I was in town for a 8pm Lions game and needed a little pick-me-up before the game. Madcap coffee was the first that shop that popped up on Google, so I walked there from Ford Field around 4pm. It's in such a cute little part of the city with hanging lights and a brick alley way. I was immediately impressed with the variety of drinks! I got the nitro, which was promptly made. The nitro was so smooth and for ~$5, it was a high-quality coffee. I tasted some of my sister's matcha latte, which was unsweetened. I'll be honest, it wasn't my thing (and I usually love matcha drinks) and it was super bitter. Just a heads up, add sweetener if you know you like a little sweetness! They also had complimentary water, which was located towards the front of the store. There are also glass cups that are available for self-serve.I wish there was slightly more seating, but I think this is more of a to-go coffee shop vibe.

Very impressed with one of the holiday specials: the “core memory” tasted amazing, highly recommend. Also love that they didn’t charge for oatmilk. Conor says the drinks should have been hotter but I liked that I could drink mine right away. Also cool that they asked if it was to dine in or take away, and would have given our drinks to us in proper glassware if we were staying.

Very minimalist atmosphere with some luxurious caffeinated beverages. Both coffees we got were ultra smooth and creamy. Wish they had almond milk but at least there was oat!

Madcap Coffee Company in Detroit has truly impressed me with its exceptional coffee. Having tried coffee all around the country, from New York to Philly, SF to LA, I can confidently say that Madcap stands among the best. The quality and flavor are outstanding, making it a must-visit for any coffee enthusiast. The ambiance and service further enhance the overall experience. Highly recommended!
Friendly and polite staff. Many coworkers come here and told me about it.
