RIP Suckas! The cheap Israeli who owns this sad little place just pulled the plug financially, and so add this on to Gretchen Whitmer's Wuhan success pile. But this place (like Ochre bakery next door) didn't even try to survive after the comrade allowed 50% restaurant seating a couple months ago. Their website contemptuously demands that customers who want their decidedly average, but expensive food, to sweat it up with the staff at the macadam park next to the restaurant at tables with no patio umbrellas! They were not letting anyone into their cheap-tiled dining room - keeping their distance from the local lepers one presumes. Their bulletin board out front still says "Gone Fishing." Good riddance I say.

Magnet is a a great dinning experience. The ambience and food are only surpassed by the friendly staff. The dinning room has a lot of energy from the snappy decor to the innovative adaptive re-use of the space to the open kitchen theatre. This is a must experience dinner.

Fantastic! A great addition to the new restaurants in Detroit!

The smells of this place alone were amazing but then you sit down and have great service and food too, this place is astounding, and a lively atmosphere as well.

Been through several times before the shut down. Always got the chefs choice dinners and was amazed. Got the new limited carry out menu last night.....wow....these guys can't miss. Worth your time and money.

Love the park and outdoor service they have provided. Same delicious food and cocktails as always while following all the protocols perfectly. Plus, I could bring my dog! I miss the elevated food scene, but this place definitely made me feel like we were back to a different pre-covid era.

We did the tasting menu. Every one was blown away by the variety quality and cohesiveness of the meal. It saved us the difficult task of choosing from menu items. The beverage choices are great including the non-alcoholic choices. I will be back. I highly recommended.

Made reservations online for dinner with family today. Everything confirmed via email from Magnet. Showed up for dinner to celebrate my daughter's birthday and the place was closed. If you are closed, how can I reserve a table? I even had to make 2 reservations since 6 were not allowed to sit together. What a bust. Not eating here again.

A family member works here and I wanted to go there and check out what this place was all about before a night out. Without any bias, this place was top notch from beginning to end, from service to the food. Great atmosphere. Great people. Doorman who kept an eye out and made sure I got to my car safely was a gem.

I came pre-quarantine with my sister on our second attempt, this time with a reservation. We came mid-week for dinner, and the reason there are no pictures attached is because I was enjoying the meal so much it didn't even occur to me to take out my phone. We had several of the vegan dishes to share, and there wasn't a single dish we didn't enjoy. Awesome food, great wine, and super fun venue. My only "complaint" is that they never asked if we wanted dessert so I assumed they didn't offer any. After we had paid the check I asked, and they did have dessert, which I will definitely try next time! Looking forward to coming back for date night!

Visited Magnet in March 2020 and had an enjoyable dinner experience. A very different and eclectic menu required explanation by the waitress and also the manager or owner. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. The room is contemporary and beautiful. The food was interesting and some of the items we ordered were wonderful. The tastes and combinations of flavors at Magnet are somewhat unusual. If you are a adventurous eater looking for new, different and (some) delicious flavors you will love Magnet! If you are a meat and potatoes person and / or not willing to try new things then I would suggest you will not enjoy the food. Service was great, again the room is beautiful!

Really lovely inside the restaurant but the outside leaves a lot to be desired! The parking lot has only 5 spots so either find street or park across the street! We had the tasting menu which apparently is automatic if you have a larger party, we had 8. I really didn't like the cocktail list it was too bare bones, which is I think what they are going for with the restaurant. 4 course dinner, first was delicious flat bread with all kinds of spreads and toppings, this was really great! The second course was vegetable dishes, sweet potatoes, kale salad, and brussel sprouts, and beets. These were all average the best being the sprouts and kale salad. We also got delicious cheese bread too! Third course was red chicken, trout and lentils. The trout was outstanding! Fourth course was olive oil cake and a vegan chocolate smoothie. The cake was very good especially with the creamy pistachio topping. The smoothie was disgusting but I'm not a fan of non milk stuff! I really enjoyed the dinner but it was very expensive and we hardly got any food, like during the cake serving I only got 1 bite, we got 2 small slices of cake for 8 people!

I loved Magnet! The cocktails were delicious and the food was great. I particularly loved all of our veggie dishes. They were flavorful and the space was delightful. Service was adequate, but a bit slow at times. It wasn't a big deal since I usually try to like the people I dine with :) and in this case I did.
