This used to be a destination for us but boy has it changed. Food was not good at all. We actually didn't eat much of any of it after waiting almost 90mins with 4 small tables in restaurant. Waitstaff was not attentive at all to any of the tables in the restaurant. We didn't complain and left our server a great tip and decided that was our last visit.

The owner of ferdinand's is an incredible gift to the community, and the restaurant carries with it, the stories of her legendary life. My experience recently has simply been at the bar with a few choice items, and I continue to hope that there will be a fostering of spanish-speaking and Mexican culture locally in a way that continues to counteract some of the xenophobic and misogynistic narratives that I have regretfully come across while eating locally.

We are visiting Escanaba.I wanted Mexican food tonight! We stopped by here, and they are C L O S E D!The website says open today, 4-8! Sign on the door says otherwise! Next time, update your dammm website ?

Super rude waitress same girl but on multiple occasions. Only open 4 hours a day and gets irritated when someone comes in a whole hour before closing. Has said they are too busy when there is several open tables and not even many people in the place. La cantina their biggest competitor is blowing them out of the water in service and hospitality. The food has always been really good but the staff has just taken a major hit. Will not be going back.Kid-friendliness: Very rude staff.
