Maru is my favorite spot to get sushi here in GR! It is always a treat to dine in or order out. If I'm really hungry I normally order 2 rolls (it's never an issue to have some leftovers for myself..). On a regular day with friends some starters and 1 roll will usually suffice for me! My favorite starters are the fire cracker shrimp and the spicy fried tofu. Also they have great deals throughout the week that I need to capitalize on more often - such as the "Tiger Tuesdays" with $12 Crouching Tiger rolls!!

My favorite Japanese restaurant. Crouching tiger roll is by far my favorite and the tonkotsu ramen is also a great choice. Fair price $17/person always a good spot to eat with friendsMake sure you can find parking

Food was great. Kitchen was slow. Lots of hard surfaces, need to add sound dampeners.

Bartender waited on us and kept our waters full. Very friendly staff. The food here is really expensive even for a sushi restaurant. The sushi is top notch, I wouldn't recommend the ramen. The ambiance was really nice when we first arrived but it got gradually louder as the night went on. It's definitely worth trying out. It's the type of place to go for a special occasion.

Get reservations if you plan to dine at Maru... We stopped for dinner after visiting the museum. We didn't have a reservation, but there was room at the bar. The bartender was friendly enough, but he's not a server... It took a very long time to order, it took a very long time to get our meals, which were pretty good... But if you want to go to Maru, get a reservation... People trying to get food at the bar while we were there gave up and left on a regular basis since the bartender's job is to mix drinks, which he was very busy doing for the folks that had a reservation...?

They have nice lunch specials, and the "deconstructed" crab rangoon is the best I've ever had, and highly addictive!

Maru Sushi Bridge Street is an excellent meal option and another well-managed restaurant in Michigan's Maru chain. Expect to wait a while for your food especially if you are with a group, because everything is prepared and served fresh. But it's worth the wait! The sushi rolls are delicious (both fish and veg options), and the hibachi meals are also a savory option.Vegetarian options: Select items on the menu (such as sushi rolls and tofu hibachi) are labeled vegetarian.

Came in for lunch and sat at the bar, ordered a basic chicken hibachi. After waiting an entire hour food never arrived. Wouldn't recommend especially if you value your time.

Waited an hour and a half for our food at the bar. Never was asked if I wanted a refill on our drinks. Avoid seating at the bar at all costs. People who came in after us had their food before we did and were being served drinks more than we were. Food was good but the service was not great.Parking: Liked the air-garage parked behind the building.

Went there for my birthday dinner with my brother and sister in law. First time I've ever experienced real sushi and I was in heaven. We ordered 3 different rolls. And each one was better than the next! They also accommodated to my gluten and they made sure they were very careful. Which I super appreciated. Service and staff were great! I can't wait to take my husband there for a dinner date.

They were able to make a basic ramen with tofu when I asked and it was very good! They also have so so many different sushi options with a good variety of them being vegan/veg. Service was a bit slow, there was only one other party there.
