Bad business practices, and you did your loyal employees dirty by unexpectedly pulling the rug out from under their feet and notifying them they are now jobless via social media as they walked in the door. Surprised to see people working at this location, or maybe they don't know the details. They would be smart to look for work else where quick before supplies runs out.

Love these guys.. their Double IPA (Dankalisious) is staggering, PB&J is fun, and they always have cool beers to try. All are welcome, including your furry friend (in the outdoor area).

Anti-family. We came all the way up to Grand Rapids from Chicago for my birthday and were turned away at the door because we brought our baby. There were plenty of tables both inside and outside and all we wanted to do was drink one beer and go, but apparently Elk has become too high-brow for families. We had a stroller that can easily fold up to the size of a backpack so there would have been no issue with space or anything. We weren't even afforded the opportunity to buy cans to go. Just shown the door. Shame because we had been to both of their locations in the last and purchased growlers and merch and were going to buy a bunch of cans, but apparently are not allowed to be customers any more. Every other brewery we went to had changing tables and were extremely family friendly.

Great place. Nice down home ma and pa business feel. Industrial and reclaimed wood make it a cozy nice feel. Beers are good.

Grand Rapids has been our spot for the past several years. I had never been to the west side of the state before he introduced me to Grand Rapids. Now it is a regular spot for us to visit. Grand Rapids is known as Beer City because of all of the breweries in the area. As I said about Milwaukee, these are our people. Lol. One of our favorite things to do is brew hop. We were trying to decide what we wanted to do and decided on a day trip. We have friends that live in the area so our plan was to meet up with them for dinner. I will say that after drinking all day, my recollection of dinner is quite vague. Oops. We absolutely loved this spot. The atmosphere was fantastic, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We were able to chill at the bar and there were also nice seating options to cozy up. The beer was smooth and delicious. We were happy to get our tags. There is also an app just for grand Rapids that you can download and check off where you've been. We have the paper version but this is newer. The great thing is that you can still check off the ones you went to that you got stamped on your paper passport by uploading a pic of the page! When you get to certain levels you earn a t shirt. Super fun. So we use both the hop passport and the GR one. We will be back!

This place is one of my favorites to go and have a beer. The place is very aesthetic, inside and out. The staff is great, beers are great, and the atmosphere is chill. They also do trivia nights on Wednesdays, which is great fun! Give this one a try, and you won't be disappointed!

We stopped here before dinner for a quick pint, as we love the PB&J'aley beer. My bf got the Black IPA and that was delicious as well. Great friendly staff, and they have a Sunday funday deal for some $ off pints. Love Elk Brewing--we've been to both locations and this one has a cute cozy local downtown vibe with an adorable back patio with umbrellas + trees for shade, perfect for the warm weather, and a big stone fire pit for cooler nights!

They had unique beer (peanut butter and jelly) but also more normal like a Pilsner. We sat outside which we liked. Lots of heaters and a big fireplace outside for cooler days. The only thing that had us questioning this place was a sign on the door that said no minors unless small infants. I’m not sure why they had that sign up but we have a three year old so definitely we’re turning away when the bartender said we could still come. It was just weird. While we were there multiple people with dogs came and another group with a baby. The sign just seemed unwelcoming but once inside the bartender was very welcoming and we had no other issues.

Great selection of beer, and the terrace is nice. Their pilsner was very tasty.

Every time I'm in town I stop here for a beer. They always have something good on tap and there's plenty of space. This was one of my favorite breweries when I lived in GR and whenever I'm back I like to stop here. Definitely stop by if you are in the area and looking for a good beer!

Great beers. Great bartender (never caught her name, but a teacher so big ups for that!) that helped us build our flight. Couldn't get me a Shirt in my size but not sure she tried that hard Seriously, very good beers.

Elk is a great spot for trying a couple of unique beers-Dankalicious and Northbound were two different but enjoyable IPAs I tried on a recent visit. The outdoor area is perfect for whatever size your group is to enjoy what they're brewing.
