Great food. Great service. Not enough of a beer drinker to speak to that part.

World class award-winning beers in a comfortable atmosphere and a friendly staff. The new menu is such a positive change. French Fries at Founders! Awesome. Beer Cheese Dip, The Blat sandwich, and Porky Mac are all delicious. Oatmeal Nitro Stout is the best. Kudos to the new chef and kitchen staff.

such good beer and food. wish there was a few less screaming kids the next time though. Update 9.5.22 don’t spinach dip comes cold in Togo cup update 1/27/23 if you wonder why it dips off in sales after 9 it’s because your staff is pulling rugs and making it seems like you are not wanted. Really these things should be done after close it’s awkward. Last call at 930 on a Friday and having “sister” breweries on tap this place is circling the drain.. update 10.27.23 wonder why your business has fell off. Despite increased prices your staff is the slowest and closes early and you’re on the end of town. Who is going to deal with that other then someone wanting the slower pace and environment which then runs people off too. Was talking to someone out of town even and they noticed this. Yea they close the earliest out of anywhere in town. Even more they start closing before even so at 9 at night expect to feel rushed out.. update 4.9.24 well now they’ve taken the place to full dennys. Same items as everywhere else and still closes far too early. Don’t you realize what made you grow is that you were a bar/ brewery with minimalism. Just go back get rid of your booths and bring back the load music and great beer and Sammy’s. Bring back people who drink beer and care about your customers to serve. And stop ruining your recipes of your beer

We were excited to try founders after the renovation and were hoping for an improvement in the menu compared to the old lineup of sandwiches but we were disappointed. The food quality was not better than what they had before and the taproom seemed understaffed.

Founders x Gordon Food Service*: Applebees RisingREVIEW AFTER REOPENI’m all for changing up menus. I’m all for renovations. I love new flavors. They promised new flavors that would impress. Instead we have standard fair, straight from the kitchen at Gordon Food Service.Flavors are bland and completely uninspired. Whereas the wide selection of sandwiches before had flair and personality, now we have pot roast masquerading as “cheesesteak.” We have new sandwich choices: chicken and avocado, chicken and bacon, or bacon and avocado. There are also expensive entrees, including what looks to be braised pot roast, glazed salmon (I’m at a brewery, folks), and a few others. The beer cheese dropped so drastically in bread quality that my partner and I laughed. Crostini? Yes, from a plastic bag labeled “Gordon Food Services’s Big Bag of Crostini.”As for atmosphere, we now have a giant host stand splitting the building. That’s fine- they needed a host stand. But it feels corporate and cold. I think they were aiming for upscale, but instead hit “boring with no character.”The life force of this place is bleeding out. I’m sad.*or Sysco. It’s all so bland it doesn’t matter.

Our service was good - just disappointed with the whole experience. A warning to those who have gone to founders for years and loved it as is: don’t expect things to be even remotely the same :( Previous additions and renovations have felt like improvements, but this one changed the whole vibe. It’s hard to pin point it, but it feels much more corporate and much less welcoming and homey. Many crowd favorites are gone from the menu. The devil dancer sandwich, which is my personal favorite, is still on the menu. I was initially relieved about this (putting it lightly)… but it has changed a lot. No more telera roll and completely different chicken- it was dry and bland :( It also seem like there is a LOT of new staff. Felt very weird. The view when you walk in has completely changed.. it almost doesn’t feel like you’re in the same place. I have been a founders lover for over 13 years now. I get teased by friends and family for how much I love going there… and I don’t know how often I’ll be coming back.

I’ve been a fan of founders taproom smoked wings for 2years+ and especially dine in on every weekend possible just for the wings! Unfortunately that today changed for me :( they’ve been shut down for a while for remodeling purposes but wouldn’t imagine they changed the food as well. I ordered today, if I remember correctly, it was the porky Mac and well a side of wings, the wings had me so unacceptably disappointed they are not the same wings as how they were 2-3 months ago! and it’s only 8 wings compared to 1/2 a pound they used to serve (more than 8 wings) and honestly didn’t taste good 3/10. The porky Mac was just bad, pork was the only thing good about it but the Mac n cheese was just bad. The cheese was all watery instead of creamy like it should be and hardly had any taste of “Mac”, the pork was only covering it up lol. I love founders and I’ll still keep on recommending it but please please please bring back the same old wings ??

Hundreds of Hops Stop #13 on our zself-guided Hop Passport Tour. Beer 5, Service 5, Atmosphere 4 Founders is always going to put out a solid 5 star brew, no need to worry about quality when heading here. They do get busy, and I mean BUSY - so, arrive early to avoid the overcrowding. Be sure to check their website. They are also on reduced hours, with the kitchen being remodeled & will soon close temporarily for the remodel completion. Meanwhile, they do have food trucks, and it smelled of smoky bbq as we walked up. Servers are efficient and work as a team if you belly up to the bar. They interacted well with each other and patrons. I'm thrilled we had the opportunity to come in before they closed up temporarily.

No food until April and zero warning on their website or Google listing. Waste of a trip.
