This is the worst Indian food restaurant in Grand Rapids and for $28, it’s not worth it. If you want good Indian food, try ANY OTHER place but this. Such a disappointment. I paid 16.95 for a small bowl of butter chicken…. No rice came with it.I’ve ordered from Pals Indian Cuisine, Curry Kitchen, Curry Leaf and they all include white rice with the dishes and don’t charge an arm and a leg for it. This place is a scam and the food has absolutely no quality to it.They only charge as much as they do because it’s in the middle of downtown, but there’s so many better Indian food options than this. Please take all these reviews seriously because this place doesn’t deserve a single star

We went to this place expecting a lunch buffet. When we got to the door, we were additionally encourage to because there are clear lunch buffet hours on the door, and we were within them. When we went in, there was no buffet. I felt a bit lied too, felt as if I was obligated to order food. We did order food, but they got our order wrong, bringing out the wrong vegetarian dish. The food was pretty much expected for an Indian restaurant. I wish my butter chicken had more flavor but that's not really a negative. The big negative was the lack of the buffet even after advertising that they had one. Servers were a bit weird, taking nearly a minute to clean off the dishes from our table even before we were finished eating. But it had a nice atmosphere, pretty looking tables and place settings. It had a wide variety on the menu, and it wouldn't have been a bad experience if I didn't feel like I was being lied to about the buffet.

I'm not getting paid to write this or anything; this place is just GOOD. My family and I just got takeout today and I found a new favorite Indian place in my hometown. First off, everything was still steaming hot after the drive home, which is always a plus! The lamb vindaloo is spicy enough to make your mouth burn a lot (in a good way!), but not too spicy to overpower the flavor of the curry, which is good because it's so savory and complex. The palak paneer is the best I've ever had - just so flavorful and rich, and I've tasted some of the best in NYC too, so that's saying something. Naan and rice portions are GENEROUS - one portion of rice could feed three people tbh - and the rasmalai has such a creamy and thick sauce. And the people who took our order and cashed us out were both very friendly. :) If you like Indian food, don't miss this spot!

I’ve lived in Grand Rapids for many years and just decided to stop in this evening for dinner with my husband while most others were celebrating thanksgiving. The food was INCREDIBLE— flavored with warm spices to absolute perfection. We both couldn’t stop smiling from how intricately distinctive and soothing the meals were. My husband, unfortunately ate his entire meal, however, I have leftovers of which I had to write “stay out, Mark” on. If you love comfort food, try this warm alternative that your tummy will thank you for later. You won’t regret it, I promise. We will absolutely be back.Vegetarian options: I love that the vegetarian options are clearly sectioned in the menu and it was easy to find food for my needs

Came here for thanksgiving. One of the best meals I’ve ever had. Chicken tikka masala. Only downside is that I ate it all so no leftovers.

The servers are horrible, can’t speak English and cheated on food. The lamb biryani had only four piece of meat. The food was old and when I raised the issue with food, they wanted to charge additional for doing the order properly. Food was old and looked like they used the leftovers from other customers.

Wow. We ordered "palak paneer" and it was chicken! What part about vegetarian don't they understand?! I also got the goat pickle and it was 90% bone. This restaurant used to be good. Our order was not correct even though the tag on the bag was accurate. Stay away! Oh, and you know how rice comes every meal for free? Not here! It's another $3!
