Finally made it into Social Kitchen and Bar even though I come frequently to the Downtown Market. I came here for brunch and although the food menu is just one page, we found good dishes. For example I had the Warm Chicken Sandwich with some of my favorite things - chips, bacon, chicken, pickles. Food texture is important to me, and I loved the crispness of the sandwich. My boyfriend got the Chicken and Waffles which he also enjoyed. The chicken was fried in a tempura like batter. For sides we got the Bacon Hashbrowns and the Social Slaw. The social slaw was our favorite of the two sides with kale, broccoli, bacon, quinoa, grapes with a great smoky flavor. The hashbrowns were ok - crispy, but lacked more of the bacon flavor I was expecting. Service was good and fast. Price for two people for brunch was around $53 including drinks. Inside there were a lot of tables, and it has a farmhouse style interior with one wall with portraits of very fancy looking animals, and I enjoyed the look into the kitchen.

We are flew in from California and had heard this was a great spot for brunch. Our server only came to check in on us no more than 3 times the whole time we were there. After waiting for about an hour for our food to come out, we had to reach out for the manager to get an update her response was "yeahhhh it's about 40 mins.." surprisingly enough she went back and all our food was ready. After being here for about 2 hour I was never asked if I wanted another drink. When receiving my food (I had ordered chicken and waffles) my waffles were completely soggy... The food, the one drink, and the service was awful. If I could, I would have given them zero stars.

Came here with friends.. our party got here at 10am... its now noon and we just want to see our server to ask for the bills.. our food took over and hour, we only got asked once for a 2nd drink, my friends got skillets and they weren't even warm when they got to the table. I got the sandwich and my friend got the waffles and they were both soggy. We honestly felt like no one cared. We felt like hostages waiting on just a water refill and the bills. We watched people at other tables get A+ service. We spoke to both managers onsite and got very little help. Ok sure they gave us %20 off but that doesn't take away from what a horrible experience this was. It's 12:16, still waiting for the bills and haven't even cleared our table. Half of us are standing since we are so annoyed. Absolutely ridiculous... we will not be coming back..

I've been here twice so far and both experiences were excellent. I loved the food and the service was fast and friendly. I have had the lunch and dinner. The grilled cheese is amazing. I recommend the crispy brussel sprouts for sure! I really like the atmosphere and the design of this restaurant too.

First time here and it was a really nice time. Casual dining and drinks. Our server told us the drink menu had been redone recently so there were some fresh drink ideas. We sampled several, but my favorite was their Old Fashion. It was a really nice smooth drink. Burgers were delish and the hand cut fries were great along side. If you get the fries there is enough to share in one order!

The food is always really good. The service is extremely slow. We had to wait 30 min for a table even though there were multiple open tables when we got there. The staff always seems very disinterested in being there and checking on the patrons. This has been my experience all 3 times I've been.

Ate breakfast here several times and it has been excellent. The avocado toast is great, and I like the open feel of the place. I haven't tried the Bloody Mary bar, but there were a lot of options to choose from. It's location in the market is very convenient.

Great brunch! Our friend from Michigan took us here on our visit for a wedding (we’re from Cincinnati). I got the steak and eggs and it blew me away. Everything is made fresh and it is oh so tasty. The visuals in the restaurant are very appealing, also. Vintage art pieces and wooden decor cover the place. Definitely recommend!
Love the brunch. Would love it if they opened up earlier.

We stopped in for a cocktail. It was great. The menu has some good items on it but we will need to go back again to try additional items. The bartender was very sweet and attentive.

A couple weeks ago, my girlfriend and I came here to enjoy a nice date night. I'm only writing this now because it's sat funny with me since then. The food was phenomenal, truly. We enjoyed every bite, especially the tray of fries. However, our server made some inappropriate comments that really ruined the mood of the evening. She had been pleasant up until it came time to pay. My girlfriend paid for the bill, and the server questioned whether we were "old high school friends". We laughed, then explained we were dating. The server made a face, then some strange comments and left to grab us boxes. That wasn't what made it strange- it was right as we were leaving. We both had stood up and began putting our coats on. It was then that the waitress approached us, and asked, "when did your parents know you were out?". Obviously, this is stupidly inappropriate. My girlfriend and I were thrown off, but we answered politely then left. The rest of the evening wasn't spent dwelling on it, but this interaction certainly made us feel ostracized. I recommend the food here, but the service needs to be addressed to be a little bit more hospitable and a lot less personal.
