The chili was really good. The restaurant is very casual. The people there were extremely nice. It is small inside, maybe 8 tables.Parking: The parking lot is gravel. So if you have a walker or wheelchair, it will be a bit difficult.

My husband and I had West Texas BBQ cater our wedding in early February. Our guests raved about the food and expressed how friendly the staff was during the dinner buffet! Hunter was great to work with and was able to answer any questions we had. We ordered the chicken, the brisket and the pulled pork as the mains along with 3 sides which were all fantastic. First 3 times there was great the fourth time the meat was kinda dried out and ordered hash brown and was given Mac and cheese the 5 th time I ordered turkey and brisket turkey was good but I was given pork shoulder instead the guy came up and ask how it was so I ask was this brisket he said yes I know brisket andnthatvwas not it what makes it bad I drive jyst over an hour to go there

I spent may years in Texas and have always been cautious of BBQ everywhere I go. This place is worth it - as good as I've had oitsode the state. Definitely top of my area list. Sauce options were plentiful. Side iyems were exceelent. Highly recommeneded from this BBQ aficionado! Enjoy.
The food was excellent and they even let us bring in our small dog, Holly and gave us meat scraps and water for her. One of the best kept secrets in Jackson.

Five stars all around!We had West Texas BBQ for a small party of 30 people. We ordered brisket, pulled pork, Polish sausage, mac and cheese, and baked beans - everyone was raving about it all! You know you are going to get some quality 'que when you drive up and the place has multiple smokers going outside. The owner himself, Hunter Sullivan, helped me load the food into my car. I don't think you could get much better than that. We will definitely be back!Parking: They have their smokers cookin' in the parking lot!
Pretty good BBQ. The Brisket and Burned Ends were awesome as were the baked beans. For $17 a plate the serving size seemed kind of skimpy and truthfully they seem to be phoning it in other than the actual BBQ . For example the corn muffin was small, dense, dry and defiantly several days old. The spouse reports the pork shoulder was good but the bun it was served on was mediocre and stale. The potato salad was a disappointment. Basically room temp mashed potatoes with some celery mixed in. I found two chunks of potato in that entire serving pictured.Would I eat here again? I probably would. This wasn't the first time I've been here. I've been here at least a dozen times spread across the past two decades. We have always enjoyed the BBQ but for the last several visits we have always been underwhelmed by everything else.
