Due to lack of employees, the Hilltop only has their bakery open and take out only. The famous Hilltop rolls are still delicious and glad I was able to get coffee.
Drove over an hour there for breakfast today only to find out they offer no dine-in. Takeout only. Very disappointing. I told them nowhere does it say their hours are take out only. So please be aware of that.

Food and service are good. The sweet rolls are EXTREMELY sweet and big enough to feed four people. Stop here every year on my trip to the UP. If only I could find something this good in North Carolina.

The cinnamon rolls are, as ever, the best our U.P. has to offer. But the fact that the restaurant cannot get staff to actually BE a restaurant BITES! The one star for atmosphere is the only place I can see to place my disappointment that there's not enough staff.I pray for the restoration of normal services and for the owners that Hilltop can actually open for delicious food again!Bill
