I love Chen's noodle! The staff is very friendly and food is always hot and consistent one of the better restaurants in the area. I find it to be a little more pricey than other's but it is very much worth it!

Love this place! I've only not gotten carry out a couple of times but the staff is pleasant, the order is correct and the food is great. My recent order was beef soup, wonton soup, duck soup, spring rolls, duck buns and MaLa spicy beef soup. The duck buns are a must! All soups were delicious.... but... THE MALA SPICY BEEF SOUP IS VERY VERY SPICY!!! My son LOVES spicy... but he was choking. We strained the soup and I reheated the "innards" with the rest of my duck broth. It helped but my son eventually gave up because it was still too spicy. IDK the staff seems super accommodating so maybe we can ask for 1/2 chili's or something? We love several Vietnamese places in that area.. this one is different but in a good way.

I've passed by Chen's Noodle a couple of times but haven't had the opportunity to grab anything from here until recently. I saw on yelp that they had beef chow fun (aka beef stir fry rice noodle) and from looking at the reviews, it seemed like the thing to order. It was perfect for me because I had been craving this dish for a while. I honestly grew up eating this dish. So for me, this is like comfort food.I made a stop inside and ordered it for take out. When I got home and took my first bite, I was instantly reminded of my childhood. It was flavorful and piping hot. I decided to use the hot chili oil they gave me on the side to spice things up. Their chili oil had a nice amount of heat to it. Like the other reviews have mentioned, the portions are generous. You can definitely get two meals out of it. The only thing that I would prefer is if they used wider rice noodles. I'm used to eating this dish with wider rice noodles, but they use the smaller ones here. There are plenty of places that use the smaller ones, so again this is just my preference. With that aside, I still felt like the food was pretty authentic. Also judging from their menu, they serve a lot of other authentic Chinese dishes that may be harder to find in the metro Detroit area. I recommend giving this place a try if you're looking for some real Cantonese food!

I always get the beef stir fry with rice noodles and it's so yummy! Sometimes as a to-go order it's too saucy and the bottom noodles get soggy, but overall very good

OMG. I spent some time as a kid in the San Francisco Bay Area, and outside of maybe California in general, I don't think I've had such good Chinese food. This place has a small menu, but what they do, they do RIGHT. I ordered the beef pancake and the stirfry beef with rice noodles and both were epic. How is the stirfry beef with rice noodles that good? Is it magic? I can't wait to try everything on their menu - I will be back. YOU MUST GO TO HERE.

Nice place, food well cooked, real Chinese style. Also very responsive re allergies. Two things: the rice noodle, while good, was clearly re-heated rather than made fresh. Still good, but it would have been awesome if they had just made it. The rice in lotus leaf was made with long grain rather than sticky rice, and was served rather than cooked in the lotus leaf... good but not what was hoped for.

This is the old Thuy Trang, which was Vietnamese spot before it became Chen's noodle. They have been here for about a year now. Our waitress was super friendly and attentive, checking up on us, but not coming around too much, mostly to drop off our food and make sure we were all good. She was super attentive in taking empty plates and asking if we wanted some black vinegar to go with our fish. Started off with their jasmine tea. Ordered the king mushrooms (30), pickled mushroom and fish slice spicy (31) and stir fry chicken with udon noodles (S2). The fish came out, asked for a side of black vinegar with it, it's so yummy. The fish was so yummy. The chicken and udon is also delicious. The king mushrooms texture takes some getting used to, but they are so surprisingly good, almost addictive. The fish is fantastic, that's my favorite so far. We decided since 3 out of the 3 items we ordered were so good, so we had to order more. We ordered the rice rolls with peanut sauce too, why not go for gluttony? The rice rolls were good, peanuty and maybe hoisin sauce and their homemade soy sauce too. We ordered a pickled mushroom and fish slice spicy to go, that's the best out of all 4 items. They gave us some fried sweet potato balls with their syrup, sweet beyond words. A perfect end to a delectably savory meal here. If you like fish, I would most definitely recommend trying their fish, that's wonderful in every way and even better with some black vinegar sauce. It was a pleasure to have eaten here tonight. You will be so glad you came and experienced the fabulous cuisine from here. I can't wait for our next visit and more of their fish. Do ask for your bill when you are done, they don't want to make you feel rushed at all. Our waitress is super friendly and nice, she even had a chat with us before we departed. Actually everyone we interacted with were all nice here.

This is a really great restaurant. It doesn't look like much from the outside but they have a great menu and the flavors are spot on. We had the beef wrap (excellent), dough stick, duck bao, (very good), homemade soy milk sweetened, and Ma La beef noodle. Everything was good and the flavors were authentic and fresh. It's hard to find good Chinese in the area and even harder to find places that don't focus on Americanized Chinese like Kung Pao Beef, Sesame Chicken, Sweet & Sour Chicken, etc. Try this place out, you won't regret it. The owners are also super nice and gave us some complimentary homemade tofu in a molasses sauce she just made.

We both had soup. Nice and spicy. Pretty good quantity of meat in it too. Very good broth. Service was good. We liked it a lot and will be adding this to our favorites.

With the caveat that I'm not a big fan of 关东菜 (Canton food), this is a respectable noodle house with a classic "Canton restaurant" ambiance. I tried the 干炒牛河 (beef with fried noodles) and 肠粉 (don't know how to translate but see the photo) with shrimp. Everything was good and the portion on the noodles was surprisingly huge. What I really appreciated most about the place was the wait staff, though. Super friendly. I'll be back if I'm ever in Madison Heights again for some reason.

My husband and I were looking for a quick place to get dinner. I found Chen's Noodle on Yelp. We shared the scallion beef pancake, chicken potstickers and stir fried chicken with Udon noodles. The restaurant is spotless, the waitress was delightful, the food is fresh and we look forward to going back very soon.
