I grew up in the Toronto area and had a great selection of dim sum restaurants there. This place brings back those memories in terms of flavor, atmosphere, tea selection, and plus it's push cart style! The hargow, siu mei, cha siu bow, braised chicken feet, lor mai gai (lotus leaf wrapped sticky rice with chicken), and tripe all tasted VERY good and is, so far, the BEST flavored in this city. I also really dig the good tea selection, which for OG dim sum-goers, is essential to good dim sum experience.Recommendations: Go early (I.e right when it opens on weekends, 11am) and youll have first dibs on the piping hot dim sum selection coming off the steam ovens. if you go 45min to 1hr after it opens, expect some wait time for table AND food (which honestly is part of the dim sum experience). Dim sum is a time to sit down with friends and family to catch up over a cup of nice tea...not a really an eat-and-go affair. Also, if you find you aren't able to get the food you want coming out on the push cart, just let the server know and they might be able to get you something straight from the kitchen.Parking: Strip plaza style parking with over 20 spotsKid-friendliness: wooden high chairs available

Good place for dim sum carts on the weekends. We also ordered a delicious vegetable dish off of the main menu. Dim sum is the normal selection that most other dim sum restaurants in the area has, but always so glad to see another place with carts open up! I’m looking forward to trying more off their menu.

Went for dim sum on a sunday.. super busy, very understaffed. They do cart service and we only saw the cart twice in an hour. The dim sum tasted good, not the best we've had but decent. They really need triple the staff.

If you're familiar with dim sum or want to have an authentic experience, then this place is definitely the place to go!They start to get really busy on the weekend from noon to 1:30pm. It's not a big place; the bathrooms are clean. The food was good, not oily (however, certain type of dishes are meant to be oily), not heavily seasoned (you can use the soy sauce & chili oil on the table to adjust the flavor), very generous portion, and the carts go around frequently.I noticed they also have a physical menu to order family style dishes, but you'd definitely have to ask for it. The servers all speak English, though not fluent, so please be respectful and patient. If you speak mandarin or cantonese, then they definitely can respond alot faster. If you know what you like in dim sum, showing photos definitely help, so they can prepare it for you in the kitchen if they're not on the cart.I only took a star off because i wished there were more "sweet" options on the pastry cart, the table was kind of sticky, and it would be helpful to include a spoon with the utensils!

Just attempted to eat here and right as I went to open the door they locked the door in our face with zero explanation, meanwhile the restaurant is still serving customers inside and we are within the hours of operation.

First visit. When we were trying to order, most of the noodle items were unavailable because the “chef was off to sleep”. No water provided to us, no customer service, and the staffs are too busy to ask to have our table cleaned. Won’t be visiting again. Need to improve the service quality.

I've been there a few times since it was renewed and it's okay.Personally, I feel better than before.Dim sum is reasonably priced and tastes good. The server only speaks Chinese, so you have to use body language, but it still works. Before the renewal, the restaurant felt a bit cluttered rather than clean, but now it feels neat.

Very disappointed with the recent change of owner. All noodle and wok options are gone. Dim sums are mediocre. Service is below professional plus not enough waitress.

Tried out the dimsum here as they are under new ownership and are just a dimsum establishment now. Honestly... It was very mediocre. I think Cheng's is a lot better. It's on the same level as Shangri la etc. some dishes were better than others but it really wasn't great. Sad because I was looking forward to a good dimsum spot. Maybe I need to come back on a weekend.

New management took over 2 months ago, this is now a dimsum restaurant. And they're really good! I've been to a few dimsum restaurants in Michigan and the food is usually luke warm when served but not this place! It is served from the cart but I love that it all comes out hot! They didnt have a menu when I was there, and not everyone there spoke English. Wasn't a problem for me as I knew what I wanted and if it wasn't on the cart, I was still able to have the cart lady placed an order with the kitchen. If you're unfamiliar with dimsum, try asking for the manager, he speaks English and could help you.Overall, their dimsum is really good! The har gao has fresh shrimp and was huge! The carrot cake was a favourite and even the braised pork ribs were perfect and not too oily. I can attest the flavour here is authentic! This place does get busy because everyone somehow knows how good it is, so try to come early!

I came here searching for the old Kung Fu Noodle House but had missed the memo that it had changed ownership in August 2023. The Google map location has not been updated. Decided to stay and check it out; an employee informed us they were under new ownership and did not serve noodles, despite a noodle section on the menu. The dim sum I tried (BBQ pork rice rolls, pot stickers, and shrimp shumai) were hefty bites but oilier than I would prefer.

Came here for dim sum. Super busy so get in early. Tea service fee is $4 per person and is extremely irritating. Carts do go around but once it gets busy you will have to implement old school dim sum cart snatching strategies. Also have to be aware of your bill because they over charged us and it was just my parents and I going for quick dim sum.

So excited the original East Lake chef is now at this restaurant! Dim Sum is great, as well as the other Cantonese and Hunan menu items. Super excited for a place in Madison Heights with a full Dim Sum menu!
