Interesting place. Staff is kinda rude but the food is good enough. They add on a 20% gratuity automatically no matter the party size, so keep that in mind, and I don't think we will be back unfortunately.

Now the place is open from 4:00 to 9:00 pm with delicious Mexican cuisine, is incredible tasting, the fish tacos! So good. I almost cry ? the Tortilla soup is spectacular, and the desserts are out of this world.Since they just start opening for dinner the restaurant called "Café de Olla" (coffee from a pot) the place is not busy at all, and we were lucky to enjoy all this wonderful dishes with a tasty margarita and a great Sangria. You have to try this new spot in a usual place.

Good, not great. Very difficult to get a cup of coffee, let alone a refill, making it a questionable breakfast spot. The waffles were excellent, but the scrambled eggs seemed highly processed. Meh.

Very cute, small cafe with limited choices, but they were vegan, which was a blessing and tasted really good. Prices were a little high, but that comes with the territory of good vehan food. Waitress was extremely pleasant. Cafe gaveoff good vibes... we will be

went here with a friend for brunch on a wednesday ! it was virtually empty in there so service was speedy. our waitress was very nice & our food was yummy. my friend got tomato bisque with grilled cheese & i got the mushroom egg white omelet dish. i also got a bloody mary, which i didn’t taste and alcohol nor did it give me any sort of buzz whatsoever… but it was 11am on a weekday so i really had no business being tipsy anyways lol

Pretty little spot on the strip. Vegan options! Tried the delicious tofu scramble with soy chorizo & pico alongside herbed potatoes, which they offered to grill with oil instead of butter. Loved that! Our waitress was friendly and kept the coffee coming. We will be back, specifically, to try the vegan burger next.Vegetarian options: Few options, but delicious.Parking: Back-in parking only. Free parking garage nearby. Paid parking on street with electronic (app available) and coin meter.

My friend and I decided to meet in Royal Oak for lunch today at Cafe Muse. Unfortunately, I feel that the restaurant did not provide very good value or service. To start, we ordered coffees. For about $5.50, we expected nice lattes/cappuccinos, only to find out that we were served something that was made in a machine-- not unpalatable, but definitely not worth what we paid. Also, we were told that there was actually no difference between the latte/cappuccino option (although there appeared to be on the menu). We also agreed that the wait staff was not very friendly, which wouldn't have been a problem except for the mandatory 20 percent gratuity. We both ordered different kinds of pancakes (which were tasty), but we also decided to split a side of sausage, which the waitress told us was sizeable. For $6.25, we were served an unimpressive, hot-dog sized sausage split in half. When we went to pay our bill, the POS system prompted us to tack on an additional 20 percent tip on top of the already applied gratuity, which I found outrageous. If you weren't paying attention (or didn't know that you could side-step the prompt), you could easily wind up paying over 40 percent gratuity on your original bill. I typically don't mind paying a bit more for a brunch like this, but for the value of what I was offered, I was unimpressed and a little insulted. The atmosphere was fine, but I definitely would not choose to come here again. Also -- for the service that I received, I found the signs in the bathrooms about the employees being so excellent that they need not be reminded to wash their hands quite boastful.

I wish I lived closer. The food was so delicious!! My granddaughter suggested we try it. Her friends said it was good, and it was! We both had the garlic sautéed potatoes and sourdough toast. My granddaughter had the smoked salmon scramble, and I had the ammoglio scramble. We shared the smoked salmon and amogglio. We both enjoyed each, but I thought the salmon had a slight edge. I do admit, I love salmon! It was busy, but it wasn't chaotic . We will definitely go again!

My wife and I stopped in for breakfast on a weekday hoping for a very good if not exceptional experience. There were about 7 other patrons at the time. Coffee was lukewarm at best during the whole stay. (If the coffee is lukewarm, why serve it?) The ammoglio eggs sounded good, but the description prooved deceiving. Scrambled eggs were well prepared, but the ammoglio sauce was bland, and there may have been a whole 1/2 teaspoon of cheese in the eggs. The ‘exotic mushroom’ egg scramble was as bland and uninspired as the sad ammoglio. Smokey bacon is always a nice addition but ours was probably 70% fat, sliced thin and appeared to have been deep fried. The potatoes, toast and jam were the best part of the meal and have prevented my giving this business a one star review. The bill totaled over $50.00, and included therein was a ‘service charge’ of about 17% which was never mentioned or explained by the server. We may visit again after a year or two, but in the meantime will enjoy the many other breakfast/brunch options in Detroit and Ferndale.
We need more places like Muse, an urban oasis where you can sit quietly and forget your troubles. The omelettes are amazing and the potatoes are done just right. Avoid the steak and eggs, the steak is very tough. The service is professional and unobtrusive. Time to go back to evening hours Cafe Muse!

Very disappointed with my food, wasn't tasty at all, dry, bland, boring, and not what I was expecting at all. So sad they are closed as I would be taking this food right back !! Sucks as Im hungry and paid for food that truly isn't worth consuming. Nice people, nice place, food that I ordered was not to my standards, thought ordering something simple would be okay yet not at all, and the side she told me I would have is a box of lettuce and two tomatoes, not Couscous. Located directly across the street from my office yet I legit will not be back

Food was great. I got the salmon scramble and cheddare grits. The salmon was great. The grits were okay. I expected it to be real seafood instead of the broth but it was still good. Service was okay. They move really slow but all in all it was about an 8/10.
