HEY HONEY HAND ME THE SAUCE!! ??Lockharts was a place of hardship. A hardship of eating so many delicious THINGS. I was there for a celebratory event and so my mouth had the chance to meet mac & cheese, chicken, cow: cooked deliciously. The venue had a vibe like no other bbq place I had ever been to. I couldn’t be stopped, nor would I have wanted to. This place does nothing to tear itself apart. Excited for you to go. THANK YOU DETROIT!!Parking: Paid parking around. Not too shabby.Kid-friendliness: Lots of kids!

Great brisket! Way better than Bad Brads worth the drive for us! Great wait staff can't wait to go back.

We got a kids meal, side salad and a Lockhart’s plate (which included 2 sides and various meats) we tasted the brisket (this was good, not great), pulled pork (wouldn’t recommend, there was a funny flavor), ribs (they were fine…but not much smoke flavor), sausage (this was delicious). The sides we got were cowboy beans and Mac n cheese. The Mac and cheese was sad - dry and crusty - no cheese pull at all, in fact it had to be cut with a knife to separate bites. The beans were alright. All in all it was a fine experience but we won’t be back. Our waitress was top notch and supplied our kiddos with crayons and coloring books while we waited 35 minutes for our food.

I had the brisket sandwich. It included a big wad of fat with unappealing raw tasting rub on it, and an end cut that I couldn't bite through. It was what I would describe as a small sandwich with a big price. I wouldn't get it again. I did enjoy the spicy slaw.

The beef ribs are very good. I've had the brisket as well. The meat is smoked and has great flavor. If your a rib guy you have to check this place out. Bar type atmosphere.

We visited Lockhart's BBQ before a comedy show over the weekend. Walking in, the restaurant appeared clean and smelled of BBQ. The hostess looked around and told us that all the tables that were open were reserved and it would be a 20 minute wait, which was fine. My husband then asked about several open tables that were behind us and the hostess replied, "Oh yeah, I forgot about that side of the restaurant". Weird start, but we were then seated at a high top table without a wait. The bar tender was our server, she was friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. My husband and I both ordered a cup of chili and the saddle brisket burger which was highly recommended by the waitress. I had French fries as my side, my husband had corn bread and a hot sausage as his. The chili was very spicy and very thin, it wasn't bad but wasn't anything we would order again. The waitress didn't ask us how we wanted our burgers cooked so there were no pink which wasn't our preference, my burger was still juicy while my husbands was much more dry. The flavor all together was good, but wasn't something we would order again. The fries are frozen, not made in house. The sausage was very spicy with not much other flavor noted besides spice. The corn bread was delicious and made in house. Overall the BBQ was okay, but not something we would rave about or want to frequent.

Really good bbq. Meat was lean and tender. Prices are ok. Upscale for a bbq place with a big menu. Brunch is an option on Sunday.

I visited Lockhart's on a Saturday with a large party. Nice location nice scenery on the inside. Service was great, (Megan) I believe was our waitress. We started with the burnt ends which was pretty good, just not plentiful for $16.50. I ordered a combo w/ 2 meats. Chicken and beef rib $10 up charge for one bone. Chicken was a bit dry and so was my beef rib. Although the meat was pretty flavorful still was a bit dry I had to sauce it up with bbq sauce a bit. Mac N cheese could've been baked a little longer but it was better than I expected. The greens was just alright for me and the yams are fresh out the can. Definitely a place you could go check out.Kid-friendliness: My nephew was a bit busy and had a good time.

Haven't been here in a couple years, as we don't live nearby. Well I can say that the food is no longer as good as it used to be. Mac and cheese had barely any cheese, meat was so so, ribs were tough and just blah. Service though was excellent.

Got delivery from here in the mood for a well crafted sandwich. Got the Longhorn Brisket Sandwich which was absolutely delicious. Also got the a la Carte pork sausage, 2 sauces, and corn bread. Everything came out fresh with great taste.

The atmosphere is great. The waiter J was good. The food was delicious. The specialty drinks have no price on the menu and we didn't pay attention before ordering. They were $12+ a piece. They were very strong with liqueur which some may like and others not so much. The cornbread is extra not included...that was strange. It did come with 1 slice of bread and that was hard. If you pick brisket or ribs it is extra on the 2-3 meat meal. They did have half off appetizers while we were there and the fried green beans and sauce were excellent. You do have to pay for parking because it's downtown. Overall it was a good experience but a little expensive at $86 + tip for two.Parking: Plenty of spots
