I came here after work at 8 pm and waited for my partner to get there because we've never tried here which I already felt bad coming there an hour before they closed, because I work in retail but a restaurant is diffrent, preping cleaning and after work of preparing a meal.. they were kind and took there time with cooking, didnt miss a beat, the food was amazing 10/10!Really cute warm environment :)Parking: There's basically 2 parking lots
No lunch menu on the weekends...I guess we don't have lunch on Saturday or Sunday. Felt rushed to order. Decided not to return when there were no sauces in the togo order. Q

I ordered food and asked for it to be made fresh. The man I spok with, who is very rude, said that it is made fresh and it'll be ready in 10 minutes. I said if it's fresh, it would take longer than 10 minutes. He reassured me that it would be made fresh. When I went to pick it up, I payed for it and was told that it needed to be made because it wasn't ready. They stated that they threw it out because I called 30 minutes prior to my arrival. I only did that because I wanted my food to be made fresh. But it was brought out to me 5 minutes after my arrival so it's obvious that if it was made again, it would've taken a lot longer than 5 minutes! So not only was the food NOT FRESHLY MADE (LIKE I REQUESTED) BUT THE SERVICE FROM THE RUDE GENTLEMAN AT THE FRONT COUNTER WAS TERRIBLE! I will not be going back to this restaurant in the near future EVER!!

House of Fortune is one of those local gems where the usual Chinese food dishes are inoffensive and just like other local restaurants, but the house specials are a step above and what you should focus on!After eating here at least once a month for the last couple of years, here are the stand-out dishes:The flaming wok basil chicken is so flavorful between the velveted, grilled chicken (or shrimp, as I sometimes upcharge to), the spices, and the Thai basil! This stir fry is my go-to when I want something that will be great everytime.Thai fried rice is like your usual house special fried rice, containing at least three kinds of meats (I believe it's four in this case: chicken, beef, pork, and shrimp), with the addition of Thai spices and a little something else in the cooking sauces...I assume its fish sauce, since there's a lot more umami/savoryness compared to most fried rices. Be forewarned that there's still a decent bit of oil, if that's a turn off for you. Regardless of that, it's the best fried rice I've had in the area.I tried orange chicken the other day just to see what a more Americanized dish was like, and holy moly it's the best orange chicken I've ever had...although I don't order it often, so take my opinion with a grain of salt. Regardless, the sauce actually had strong citrus notes, and the spice of the chiles really came through! The dried orange slices were a nice touch as well.
