Next to Grove is this cute little spot that has the BEST cheesecake. I highly suggest you check it out.

Excellent Customer service! I called short notice to get cheesecake cupcakes for my Job's potluck. Victor did everything in his power to make sure I got them on time, even delivered them his self. Overall great experience! My go to for cheesecakes Now!

I went here for the first time today. I was kinda nervous about how good it would be because of the location. There was no need to be worried though, the staff were friendly and patient.

Delicious cheesecake and very friendly owner! It's more cakey than a store bought frozen cheesecake and 100x more delicious! Got the NY Style and the Reese's and it was the perfect cap to my birthday.

I have bought many items from the bakery and everything was great. The poppyseed loaf is out of this world! I would definitely recommend. Very consistent and high quality.

I call this place "Babushka's" because it reminds me of the food my Grandma used to make. The store owner and baker is a friendly lady who is fine to understand in English. You don't have to speak Russian to be helped. Everything is made from scratch there (even the frozen stuff) which is why I prefer it over NY International next door.

I decided to go to Gold International Bakery after a friend's coworkers took her there and she said it was good. Gold International is a russian bakery found in a little row of stores, right off the Evergreen exit of I-696, that is the closest to little russia I've seen around Detroit thus far. There's also a cafe and a russian grocery store in the same complex. Interestingly the entrances to most of the stores are out of view from 10 mile road and there's actually a small enclosed walkway between the stores that would be great if half of the storefronts weren't empty... I guess I look a bit russian since as soon as I entered the tiny storefront I was bombareded with russian greetings. Luckily, at least one of the owners speak English. I came in for the bread rolls (filled with your choice of potato, meat, or cabbage) since my friend said they were good. I ordered one of each, which are about the size of a small sub roll. The owner offered to heat them up for me and I took her advice. Besides the rolls, there was a few other interesting looking bread items, but nothing was labeled so I decided to stick with the rolls. The selection was rather sparse but I perhaps that was due to the late sunday afternoon in which I stopped by the store. Anyway, back to the rolls. I took them home and quickly tried them. The filling in each roll was tasty and the bread was ok. They reminded me of the filled buns you can pick up at a chinese bakery. The only bad thing is that they were overly greasy. After eating them my stomach was hurting from the grease overdose. All in all, Gold International Bakery offers a niche product which I have not seen elsewhere and that's reason enough for me to give them a second chance.
