They should update their timings like other restaurants in the area when the kitchen is closed. They have it as open and when you go inside the lady says kitchen is closed.

Ahar Biryani is DELICIOUS! I ordered food from Ahar for my grad party and it was a hit! LOVE ordering food from Ahar - super tasty and their customer service is VERY GOOD too

The food there was pretty good honestly. I would go back again if not for the people.
Both the staff and the customers are actively hostile, effectively racist, toward anyone who comes to eat there who aren’t Indian.
My family and I got nothing but glares of hatred from everyone there the entire time we placed our orders.

Ordered chicken Biriyani tray (1/2) and veg Biriyani tray (1/2) . The chicken Biriyani was so bland with so flavour and had about 10 small pieces( not biriyani size meat ) in the entire tray . They charged for plates / spoon & raita . Terrible service and food

I ordered food from this restaurant for a baby shower event with around 50 guests, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience! The food was absolutely delicious — every single guest loved it and had great things to say. The owner is incredibly friendly and helpful. He gave us excellent recommendations and made the entire process smooth and stress-free. What impressed me the most is that his main focus isn’t about making money, but about delivering the best food and service possible.
He didn’t even ask for an advance payment — I paid two days after the event, and not once did he call or message about the money. That kind of trust and dedication is rare these days.
I strongly recommend this place for catering any of your events. Amazing food, great service, and a truly genuine person behind it all!

All the food was of great quality and it absolutely tasted delicious. The mouthwatering display of freshly prepared snacks were enticing even when we weren't hungry. We each got plates of our favorite snacks. The Hyderabadi samosas or tea samosas as we call them, along with michi bajji took me back to my childhood days in HYD. The bonda was also very good, paired well with all the chutneys -peanut, tamarind, and mint. All delicious. The chocolate ice cream my daughter wanted badly, I begrudgingly got her, but we all took a bite to share bc It tasted pure and it cleansed out palate after the spiciest plate of chili bajjis. We loved it, enough to grab more snacks to take home.

Weekend buffet is worth it they have a good selection for both veg and non veg

The restaurant really needs to improve a lot. The appetizers are terrible, and biryanis have no flavor at all, curries are usually too salty and bland. The food quality has gone down a lot lately and the chef either needs to step up or be replaced.

The only good thing is that the staff are very friendly and helpful. Hope they fix the food soon.

Food is very tasty, and we really enjoy the buffet every time. The vegetarian menu and taste match the Indian flavors, and we always leave satisfied with their quality and service.

Food tastes great and fresh!!!

So, I ordered Ahar special biryani for Dinner.
It was a take out order. It was too salty to eat. I called the restaurant but it was closed since it was night time. I had to order food from other restaurant, wait for 45 minutes and then I had my dinner.
I called the next day, they put me on hold for some time and they said they will inform this to the kitchen and that's it.
Now, whoever wants to eat here, think and then decide.

I have eaten at Aahar Restaurant and Kwality ice cream several times since they have opened and I’ve decided to write a review as I really like the food there. The community of Troy and Rochester hills was missing a good Authentic Indian Restaurant and I’m so glad to write this review as we finally have one right here in our neck of the woods. Both the food and the service is amazing here. I have tried them all at Aahar—take outs, A la carte, weekend buffets and their weekday thali. The food is very delicious and authentic, and tastes just like home made food. Their evening snacks and desserts are delectable. Both the Vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes are astounding. They care both about the quality of the food and customer satisfaction. The pricing is decent and quantities are fulfilling. Most importantly, the food doesn’t make you feel sluggish which is a reflection of the quality of ingredients that are being used. I will definitely be a regular customer here.
