The best Sushi Downriver! Nice atmosphere and waitstaff. Tasty handcrafted cocktails. The owners are the sweetest , caring people! We love ya Sarah! 🥰
Seems my review was taken down so I am remaking it just to people are aware of the experience i had here. I ordered sushi 2 different rolls, an appetizer of gyoza and that was all great. But my Entree, the chicken katsu, was served to me RAW. There was one other table of customers in the building so there was truly no rush. But somehow I managed to get completely raw breaded chicken. The worst part is that I ate some assuming it was just tough chicken before checking. I've never HAD to check for raw meat before so assume my suprise when I found out. Disgusting and a sever heath risk. Do not eat here. I have image proof of my experience however I am.unable to attach pictures

First time here and I am an avid sushi lover. Highly disappointed, sushi was really warm, extremely overpriced but I was hungry so why not? It was pretty tasteless for the two rolls I got. It was like it had been sitting all day and this was the left over stuff at the end of the night, not fresh at all. Did not realize there was a gratuity on take outs but that’s my fault for not looking I guess, probably something they should mention when you order.

My sushi order was a real letdown due to its lack of freshness and overall poor quality. The value was nonexistent; the prices were incredibly high for the amount of food received. Charging $19.98 for only two cucumber rolls is simply insane. Furthermore, I was surprised and frustrated by the mandatory 15% gratuity applied to a takeout order.

As my first time here I was highly dissatisfied. I ordered the ‘Spider’ sushi roll that stated caviar was included. However once I received the sushi roll I had to pay additional $4 to get something that was supposedly included. I truly believe the food was overpriced for the experience and taste I experienced.

Waitress was great. The rolls are super small for the price. Specially for the house rolls.
Sushi rolls were way too small for the price and did not taste very good. The appetizer we ordered was $10 and we got one egg roll that was split into 4 small pieces.. On top of the $75 dollar carry out order that was hardly filling, they added a 15% gratuity fee for our carry out order.
Food was great. We had an amazing time. The drinks where very good and the overall service is great. I'm definitely coming back
Really cool spot right off the main drag in Wyandotte. Adjacent to the Rocks bar as well if you want to get crafted cocktails.
Inside is sleek, modern, and upscale feeling with a full bar and seating for dining. Wait staff was outstanding! They were not busy when we visited and the vibe was pretty chill.
The only downside was the sushi, it just did not taste very good. Most of the rolls we ordered had the fake crab and one of them seemed... off, not fresh?
But we also ordered fried brussel sprouts, a flatbread pizza, and burgers that were absolutely delicious.
I'm not sure I would recommend this place for sushi, but the rest was great.

The food here was fantastic excellent, no issues there. Rolls were excellent, the chefs make great food.
The service was the problem. While the first drink came up quickly, the second one took 15 minutes, it was a beer. Our Edamame appetizer got forgotten, we had to remind our server. We had asked for spicy mayo on one of the rolls, and ended up with a roll with no spicy mayo. Then finally, I wanted a second roll as I was still hungry, so I asked for a Salmon roll. Instead, I received the exact same roll I ordered the first time. The roll tasted great, but I'd wanted something a bit different than the first roll.
The food is great, I was disappointed in the service. May be a good option if your looking for takeout, but not sure I'd dine in here.
I worked at this sushi bar when it first opened almost 15 years ago and I have been a dedicated customer since. I know first hand how fresh the fish and food are, the owners are amazing and kind, the space is clean, and the sushi is hands down the best you will get. Can’t say enough great things about sushi bar.
I ordered carry out and waited over 40 minutes for just 2 rolls and there was barely anyone in there. They added gratuity to my order and the chicken roll was what seemed like unseasoned chicken breast. Definitely not going back.
Jordan was and is the GOAT!!!!!!! Had so much fun!

Overall, not a bad spot for sushi downriver if you’re looking for a closer restaurant than Black Pine Tree. However, the prices are high for about the same quality as Black Pine Tree. If proximity to downtown Wyandotte is desirable and $10-15/normal roll, $15-20/specialty roll, is affordable, then go for it.
