We had an amazing breakfast. It was reminiscent of the cafe you went to with your grandparents. Great food, coffee and lovely bakery and dessert options. Very personable chef.

We had a wonderful breakfast and our host /owner was superior and exceptional… he was alone and the place was packed. He made our morning watching him juggle every aspect ic greeting people, taking orders, preparing and delivering the food, checking people out and cleaning tables … all with a smile on his face !!!

I took an alternate path through BL on my way to Fergus Falls and stopped in to order an omelette, which was quite good. However, I grabbed a raspberry bar on the way out and I must say, I would again, go out of my normal route to FF just to get another one of those bakery gems! Whatever else you enjoy at Lake Ave. Cafe, don't leave without one of Mary's raspberry bars.

If exiled on an island with only one request granted for food, the Lake Ave. Cafe raspberry bars would be my choice. Kudos, Chef Mary

Terrific little cafe with bright atmosphere. The proprietor was very attentive and friendly, serving up breakfast favorites. One meal came with eggs over easy when ordered scrambled... but don't let that keep you away from this little main street gem. Don't forget to grab one of their made from scratch bakery items; the almond Danish was a hit with me.

Food was tasty, the hashbrowns were just the right kind of crispy. The portions did seem a little small for the price. But am guessing just like everywhere, cost are up.

The guy who ran the place seemed a but rude. The food wasn't the best either the hashbrowns almost broke a tooth! They serge meat here as well we didn't try that though. Cute little place though the food was out quick! I think a little customer appreciation could go a long way!!! Also little less heat on the hasbrowns!!!

Kid-friendliness: It was kid friendly!

Parking: Parking out on the street was easy to find

Absolutely delicious. Everybody in our party loved every part of their breakfast at the Lake Avenue Cafe. My ham and cheese omelette, hash browns, toast and side of smoked bacon were each an example of what a great breakfast should be. Wouldn’t change a thing and look forward to ordering the exact same meal again the next time I’m in the area.
