Great time with my friends here at Steak and Ale. Mik is an excellent server. She is a total professional and made the experience a good one. Salad bar was amazing. Yum šŸ˜‹

Server forgot our appetizer, we had so much food though. Forgot to have it removed from the bill. Waiting for a call back, to see what can be done. Otherwise I would have given 5 stars.

Terrible service, dark and unattractive atmosphere, food two steps below the former TGI Fridays and no doubt microwaved. Baked potato was the only decent item delivered to the table as the rest was a cold salty mess. No wonder they had open tables tonight. Not worthy the name to be sure, and it was nothing like the former Steak and Ale restaurants.

Ok, I was here in the Minneapolis area back in March and was excited to come here, but was really disappointed ā˜¹ļø.
I am back in the Minneapolis area again and thought I would give it another try and order the Kensington Club this time…BIG MISTAKE!!!!!
This visit was even more disappointing than my first visit. This is NOT the Steak & Ale like it used to be.
First of all, it is in a hotel (a Wyndham), so pricing is way over the top. The bathroom was filthy with paper all over the place. The bartender was really nice, but she needed to take care of the empty signature salad bar at times because no one else was doing it.
I am sorry to say this, but if you are expecting to eat the same foods like it was in the past at Steak & Ale, do not waste your time. They are even trying to do some old staples from Bennigan’s (Monte Cristo)…do not be fooled!!!!

Ordered the ribeye - it was terrible. Partly under cooked - partly over cooked. Very thin, and lots of fat that should have rendered more. Also lots of hard fat. The worst steak I’ve had in the Twin Cities area, for sure. Service was extremely slow. Loads of ice in cocktails. Will not be back.

First steak and Ale I've been to in a very long time. The food was excellent and the service was amazing. I will be going back.

Will be going there in about 2 months
Can't wait to get the prime rib

Had the 140z pork chop and mashed potatoes...potatoes where dry needed butter and for a 25 $ chop in needs to have gravy or at least sautƩed onions..

We were celebrating a big anniversary and we were treated like royalty. The same Steak and Ale that you loved before is here in Minneapolis.

Juan gave us a great dining experience! Very gracious and professional! I had the meatloaf and although it was good, it was a little too chewy for me. It was 3 huge slices! I’ll have leftovers for 3 days! We also had the ribs. Those were quite good and very nicely cooked. The muddled old fashioned wasn’t for me. The excellent salad bar harkened back to the old Steak and Ale, but on a smaller scale.

Myself and our party of 14 enjoyed our experience. Salad bar provides a great selection! The food was very good, drinks were well made by the Bartender, Shawn, and our server Juan was very nice. I would visit again for sure!

What a wonderful experience! Our server Lauro was incredibly attentive, while also checking on us from afar a few times, to avoid interrupting our conversation.

The food was phenomenal. I had the 12oz prime rib, with garlic mashed potatoes. The prime rib was incredibly juicy, and the spice had actually sunk into the fat cap, meaning even the fat cap was tasty.

I had the bourbon berry smash cocktail, which is made with Buffalo Trace and was absolutely wonderful. By and large, one of the best I've had.

The mile high chocolate cake was truly delicious. It was rich, velvety, and came with fudge and ice cream on the side.

The music was a good mix of classic and modern rock hits, and the overall atmosphere was very relaxed while also being upscale.

Overall, I highly recommend a trip to this place. It is well worth the money.

We were so pleased with the amazing service and food. Everything we ordered was wonderful, including the complimentary bread, mushroom appetizer, Minnesota Nice Walleye (my husband said the asparagus was the best he has ever had), bacon burger with really awesome fries, Irish ale and key lime pie. The ambiance was relaxing and parking was plentiful. We will definitely be back.
