Customer service is top notch. Our waitress was excellent and on the ball. I had the chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes and it was extraordinarily delicious definitely will be back again. The restaurant was extremely clean and not very loud so it's easy to have a conversation with your guests. This is the grumpy minnow and center City Minnesota. All I have to say is it was an excellent dining experience and I highly recommend coming to center City grumpy minnow.
Our dinner was excellent. The cheese curds & walleye cakes were great. Brittany was our server, and sheet was excellent & made our experience enjoyable. We'll be back! Thank you!
We absolutely love the Geumpy Minnow. Today we ordered to-go got a couple of burgers, Chicken Cordon Bleu and Walleye Cakes and as always they did not disappoint! Highly recommend! ?
I loved my French dip. Waitress friendly & nice. I was there in center city on 10-13-2021 with my son & grandson. Cooks very slow & wasn't that busy. Owner please train cooks properly. I have heard many people not want to go back due to slowness. Food is great you have the customers. Please train the cooks or you mid as well close.
Tried to go there for dinner on a Saturday evening. Hostess took our name and said it would be a 15 minute wait because they were short staffed; there were two other parties who arrived ahead of us, waiting in the entry. Soon after we arrived, two more parties arrived, and we were all left standing in the doorway despite about eight empty and clean tables within view. After over 15 minutes of waiting, none of the parties had been seated yet. While I understand then being short-staffed, I cannot understand why parties weren't at least seated and given menus; this would help with turning over tables more quickly and keep people out of the entry way. This wasn't the first time I've been here. During my first visit, my party of 4 sat on the patio and were forgotten about. We had to go in twice to ask for service and then once to remind them we hadn't gotten our food, which was sitting on the kitchen counter getting cold. I was hesitant to go here again, but figured the first time was shortly after they opened, so the had to have improved. I was wrong and I will not be returning.Their original location is amazing, but for some reason this location is terrible. We ended up leaving and going elsewhere, where we were seated and served immediately by a friendly server.
The walleye cakes were the best appetizer I've ever had. My 11 year old, who is a tough critic, absolutely loved them as well. Nice restaurant, great atmosphere.
Best cheese curds in Minnesota and the walleye sandwich was excellent. Wonderful service and a fun, family atmosphere
I have called four times to place an order for carry out and have been refused and given a different excuse every time. We have a gift card we would love to use. I have worked in the service industry for 7 years and am usually pretty understanding, especially with the staffing shortage, but I have never experienced anything like this.
Beautiful patio over looking the lake with attentive and friendly staff. There are a variety of different options on the menu. We had the cheese curds that were plentiful and huge. We had the chipolte chicken sandwich and the hangover burger with a cup of wild rice soup and hand cut fries. If you're im the are stop by for a visit.
Got a couple of salads but they were both awesome. Let me switch a veggie burger instead of beef too!

Amazing food and service. Had coconut shrimp, walleye cakes. Sorry for no photo of those apps. Ate them before I could take a picture haha. But the creole pasta is amazing. Defienlty would recommend coming here for food. Never disappoints! Thank you
Came for our anniversary dinner and were pleased we did. We had a walleye sandwich with fries and the special which was country fried chicken with homemade mashed potatoes, gravy, and a biscuit. The food was good! I preferred the walleye NOT on the bun (excellent beer batter, the bread/ tomatoes/ lettuce kinda overwhelmed the fish though). Friendly staff! Will come back.
First time there, but we will be back. Loved the patio view of the lake. We had great service and the food portions were very nice.
It was a perfect September day, a beautiful view of the lake and the best walleye sandwich around. Great service and a lovely patio area, made my day!I will be back!
Delicious walleye cakes, really nice wild rice chicken soup. Wish the tap beer options were better, but the beer has to turn over fast enough.
