4 Stars – Flavorful Date Night in Chisago 🌶️🍍 We went to Jay’s Kitchen Thai Street Food for a date night and couldn’t help but notice how many things on the menu our daughter would have loved too. The restaurant itself is humble and approachable, but the flavors bring you straight to Thailand. As a vegetarian, I started with the tofu appetizer—crispy perfection—and then the pineapple fried rice. I ordered spice level 4 (out of 5), and the heat was just right. Next time, I’d go for the 5. The flavor was bold and balanced, though I’d skip the cashews since they added more crunch than needed. My husband tried the boat noodle soup, which wasn’t really his favorite, but the fried dumplings won him over—crispy and delicious. I also treated myself to the frozen pineapple boba, which was fun but could have used a stronger pineapple punch. Service was wonderful—friendly staff who kept things smooth—and overall, this is a great spot for a casual, flavorful night out. We’ll be back, and next time we might just bring our daughter along for the adventure.

Best Thai food I’ve ever had!! We got the Pad See Ew and the crispy pork belly w/basil. Also good for gluten—free people cuz they use gf soy sauce! So bomb, gonna drive up from Minneapolis again for this place.

Our new favorite restaurant! We've been regularly going here at least once a week since we found it a couple months ago. Service and food are both perfect!

First time eating here since the new owners took over a few months ago, and it was fantastic! We had food on our table within 15 minutes of sitting down and the food was great! Super tasty spring rolls! Definitely recommend the chicken pad thai lunch special. It’s really reasonably priced as well. We will definitely be coming back! I’m so happy we have great Thai food in our area!

Family dinner tonight at Jay’s. There were 5 adults and 5 kids so we ordered so much of the menu. Truthfully, not many authentic Asian restaurants so Jay’s was top notch with food and service and extra bonus of being within 20 minutes compared to having to drive down to the cities! The kids loved the fried rices and the plethora of appetizers. We had both the red and green curries. 👍🏼 We ordered all three of the spicy dishes: frog legs, mussels and catfish. So tasty! Even one of the adults was adventurous enough to try the frog legs and though was more “still too much” for her, our 10 year old gained a new favorite “meat.” The papaya salad was “perfect,” according to our mom and she loved her catfish. Two ladies had the boat noodles and enjoyed it. We plan to come back and try the other dishes we didn’t get to tonight! PS. We all loved the bobas and mango and sticky rice desserts!
