We have stopped by here twice in the last year. We had no idea what to expect the first time and were just looking for a loaf of bread to make sandwiches with. It was fresh baked and still warm and was a huge hit with the whole family. We came through the area again last week and decided to grab some caramel rolls for breakfast. Hands down the best caramel roll I've ever had! We will stop everytime we come through!

My husband and I spotted this little shop passing through Hovland, on our way up to Grand Portage. The parking lot was full and there was a line outside, so we decided we would stop on our way back to check it out; We were not disappointed. They were cleaned out of most things in the bakery by the time we returned, but we were fortunate enough to snag the last one of the homemade caramel rolls, and OMG! It was soooo good! That gooey, little, buttery cinnamon roll was the perfect treat for us to share on our wedding anniversary. 10/10 will visit again and recommend this place to friends and family.

Truly love this place. It's a must stop when I'm in that neck of the woods. For anything from awesome ice cream and her delicious home made bakery goodies to personal amenities and alcohol. Weird place, stopped by during Covid (which they advertised that they were open) and the woman working the counter was very put out that we were there. Also speaking of the *counter* it was a door that didn't open that you had to knock at several times to get her attention.We purchased two sandwiches that were pretty expensive, maybe $15 for both? But they were pretty good.

Owner was very sweet, and what a cook! Holy cow, everything she makes tastes amazing. I took a sandwich to go, and after a bumpy, rainy, 7 hour bike ride it still tasted amazing. If I'm ever in the area again I'll grab another delicious sandwich.

Ok .. so.. everything you read says the food is to die for (sweet rolls, cinnamon rolls, pizza, etc.) but no mention of 'breakfast' as a meal. So...w e took the drive up from Grand Marais to find that she does not offer full breakfast, and for good reason, she's busy making all the bread the rest of the folk go there to buy. Unfortunately I can't do a sweet roll for breakfast, so we got one to go and a loaf of bread just to see what all the fuss was about. I will say the sweet roll was very delicious and the bread that I've had so far was very good too. we never made it back to try the dinner options, but next year when we're back, we are going there for Pizza one night, for sure.

Lisa is amazing. She does all the baking from scratch. Cinnamon and caramel rolls are delicious. The Pizza is made to order and delicious. Everything baked fresh every day.
