Over the weekend I got to visit a remastering of a Minneapolis staple. With classic-chic diner vibes and a superhero motif, Bad Waitress reopened after the statewide shutdown with a refresh of their digs and menu as well as a new, self-service working model. The food was fantastic! The surfer burrito was mind blowing good. Who knew french fries in a burrito could be so tasty?! The strawberries & creme waffle was also the perfect amount of sweet for a fun sunday brunch. Definitely would recommend! Vegetarian options: Lot's of vegetarian and vegan options to choose and to customize to. Kid-friendliness: They have a kids menu! Parking: There are a few free parking spots in a small lot behind the restaurant. Otherwise, ample street parking.
The Bad Waitress is an interesting experience. They have taken their namesake to an interesting extreme: you don't order from a waitperson, you do it on a website. So it's kinda like the waitress is non-existent... At least until your food is ready. And then it's a lot of well-prepared, interesting spins on classic diner dishes in satisfying quantity. Will have to return to try more...
