Used to go here often because of convenience. I will now walk an extra block just to avoid this place to get what I need. I came in to get a few things. A bag a chips $2 a drink $2 and some chilies also $2 each and I got 4 of them. Total should be around $12. As the cashier looks at me awaiting payment, he doesn't tell me my total or put input anything to the register. I pull out a $20 bill and look at him awaiting my total and he looks at the $20 I have in my hand and says everything I'm getting is $20. I challenged him on that and he corrected the total and gave me my change but didn't bag my items, just handed me a bag. I see this guy working often too so I don't understand his rude attitude but not my problem. I'll take my business elsewhere.

The staff here are friendly and helpful. The name of this place is very deceiving. I went in expecting to find a tiny version of a grocery store, a local corner market. Instead, what I saw was a gas station without gas. For produce, I saw potatoes, onions, and a couple of green peppers. 90% is the food here is junk food and every single item is vastly overpriced. They carry a rather large selection of incense, especially given the size of the store, and they have multiple cases of glass pipes. I did get one of those for $10 and I'm very happy with it. The selection is NOT what I was expecting or needed and the prices were ridiculous. I won't go here again.

Tony the owner is an amazing man and so is his son. The entire staff remembers me and my dog's names. They treat me with respect and I respect the entire staff for being amazing people. The prices are high, but it's a convenience store, so it's to be expected.Pet friendly, they have what you need, and they are great at customer service.

Used to go here almost daily because it was convenient but I will never step foot inside again after I was told my payment wouldn't be accepted simply because it was inconvenient for them. I was embarrassed because I was in a rare situation and wasn't exactly thrilled or proud to be paying for my pop and chips with the quarters I scrounged up until I got my new bank card but change is still money... Well I guess I was wrong, quarters don't qualify as money or payment because the cashier rejected taking my $5 something order because he claimed his "drawer is too full of change". I get it, these people are an independent business and can treat the public however they want to which is seemingly with very little respect or appreciation but the real kicker was when after being told my payment was not going to be accepted I was also TOLD to go put back the two items i was trying to pay for. I did as I was told because I was already embarrassed for not only having to pay with quarters but because the cashier seemed to enjoy portraying me as a petty thief to the people behind me in line. I wouldn't have wasted any more time or energy on writing a review about this market because I simply will not give them another penny but I just thought I would share my experience. Convenient? Yes. Overpriced? Very (although SOMETIMES the price is consistent). Should you give them your business? If you like being price gauged and treated like less than human by all means, third ave supermarket awaits and will be happy to take your money.

I have been coming here for years, wonderful corner market with friendly staff. Fresh produce, $1 cans of soda, there's also a small tobacco shop with everything you would need! Tony's the best in the neighborhood

Very friendly staff, if they don’t have something in stock let the staff know and they’ll have it in by the next time you stop by. Never rude always polite and helpful. Great little corner store. Gonna miss them when I move :)

I moved to the neighborhood awhile ago and the Third Ave Food Supermarket is the spot to go. Whether it's OJ for breakfast or frozen pizza w/ Hot Cheetos to satisfy the munchies, is why my experience I give two thumbs up: convenience! The staff are great and so chill. They accept EBT!
