Everything was excellent, and we appreciated the heated plate for the chicken--not sure why so many restaurants put hot food on cold plates. The chef came by to check on our satisfaction with the food, which is a nice and friendly touch. The food was not inexpensive, but was a memorable and worth it.

We went here not knowing what to expect from a "diner" on Lake Street. You see the diner part as you enter, and then there is a dining room off to the right that is quite comfortable. Many choices of wine, beer, and cocktails--not typical for a diner. Food was delicious.

Town Talk has gone through a number of different iterations and owners over the years, but it's current form is arguably my favorite yet. The old Town Talk Diner signage remains, but the emphasis these days is really on the Gastropub. Their menu changes frequently based upon what's in season and generally has a new American bent to it (though items like their burger remain a constant on Wednesdays and Thursdays).
