The biscuits and mushroom gravy were wonderful. The turkey sausage was bland, to the point of inedible. The veggie burger was delish. The server seemed uninterested. She didn't even comment when I'd eaten all the biscuits and gravy but hardly touched the turkey sausage. We would have taken it home to the dog, but were afraid there were onions in it. (Dogs can't eat onions.) I probably will come back, but with some dishes great and others not so good, I'll be careful what I order.

Food, as usual, was quite good. Atmosphere good. Our service was terrible. After food was served, came by and noticed no syrup had come with order (French toast), and apologized and said she would bring some immediately. She did not return until we had eaten, so never got it. (We were hungry and didn't wait, which was fortunate.) Waitress never even checked back on coffee. When she eventually came by some time after we had been done eating, we asked for the check. She did not bring it for a full ten minutes (by now we were clock watching). No, we were not back in some isolated corner, there were other tables nearby. Since this was our first bad experience at the restaurant, we are still marking down that we would refer there. But another experience like this and we will not.

I was very pleased that even though our reservation was 12:30, the sound level was quite reasonable and we didn't have to raise our voices to hear each other. Our waitress was very nice and attentive and we enjoyed our sandwishes very much. I did bring a new friend who feels the same as I do, so she might become a new customer. I do enjoy Mill Valley Kitchen. It is a hike for me; I live on the Mississippi River, but worth the trip.

Tried this place for the first time and was pretty impressed! Very nice atmosphere. Almost felt like I was on vacation in another country.Probably the best eggs Benedict I've had in a while. Coffee is really good. I had a latte and husband had cappuccino. Good kombucha. Kids menu was very nice and actually tasty. We tried buttered noodles, a pancake and cheese flatbread. Very reasonable prices and great service!I honestly don't have any negatives about this place which is hard to find now days.We will def be back!!Kid-friendliness: Kids menu is great options and taste wise.

Delicious healthy options in a bright and sunny space. We had a lovely lunch- vegetable ratatouille and green papaya and mango shrimp noodle salad. Both highly recommended. The service was excellent- friendly and helpful.

The food was delicious! And healthy. As a vegan, I really appreciate the vegan options available at this restaurant. Our server was friendly, professional, and super helpful. The atmosphere here is lovely and quiet enough that it's easy to have conversations.

Mediocre. Service was 'leasurly,' table rocked on it's legs, wings were overcooked, salmon was undercooked. Maybe it was healthy but it sure wasn't tasty. A nice room and it used to be good but we're not going back. Color us 'disappointed.'

Disappointing. Had great memories of some good meals a few years back. Unfortunately, this was not good. The chicken wings were significantly over cooked, the salmon was nearly raw and the sea bass was served about room temperature. The legs of the table were uneven so it rocked back and forth. The server was fine. I'm afraid this restaurant may be well past its prime and we will not be going back.
One of my favorite restaurants in the Twin Cities. They do an amazing job - the food is delicious AND healthy. The staff is excellent front the front of the house to the back of the house. Highly recommend!

It isn't often I give an outstanding to a restaurant but I felt obliged to as every time I've eaten at Mill Valley Kitchen the result was simply great. The food is always excellent and for every meal except dinner I tend to order the breakfast burrito. Every other restaurant's breakfast burrito is sad in comparison. The ambience is light, airy and filled with plants and never noisy but pleasantly stimulating even with a filled room(s). Sometimes waitstaff are average but mostly friendly and accommodating and informative and some I've seen many times and can have a little conversation with. Overall it is a great restaurant, tucked away as it is many people may not know about it even now. There are usually many diners however so others do know what a gem it is.

Our dinner was outstanding. Mill Valley is great for someone with food allergies. My daughter and I are gluten free and we had a nice selection of gluten free meals that we could eat without any issues. I enjoyed the scallop dinner and my daughter enjoyed the duck dinner. My 5 year old granddaughter loved her macaroni and cheese and edamame and fruit bowl. Service was excellent.
