Going to Salute on January 7, 2023 was a very sad experience, knowing that they would be closing in two days. They were out of many drink and food menu items and out of certain utensils, due to employee theft. We are still sad to think that we will never be going back to their St. Paul location. Salute has been one of our favorite restaurants. We will go to their Edina location, but less frequently, due to the additional distance from our home.

It was disappointing that they had run out of baguette so they had to make our Croque Madames on ciabatta (pas bon) and we couldn't have a serving of it for the table (with your delicious whipped butter). Salut is my favorite restaurant. We go there for all special occasions -- especially the St. Paul location -- and I'm devastated that it's closing.

For NYEve they were out of everything because the owners are closing the site. It was very sad. This was a beloved neighbourhood spot since it's open. The owners told the press that they found some new jobs for the staff to land, but that wasn't true. The staff tried their best to be cheerful but for many long time employees it was the end of an era and they are facing joblessness. And, we were still charged 5% of the bill for their medical insurance...which is annoying because the people who own this restaurant and the one in Edina and the rest in their chain should open ups their thick wallets and pay for the employee benefits, not make me pay for it on top of the listed price on the menu...that its dubious practice. I won't be frequenting the Parasole Restaurant chain again.

I love Salut and used to go there often for lunch before retirement. We went with another couple yesterday for a final brunch and it was fantastic...I had Eggs Benedict and a couple of Mimosas and all was great. Really hate to think of your closing...you will be missed! Hopefully you will find another location to relocate as Edina is too far to drive. What about White Bear Lake? If you relocate we will be loyal customers... if you don't then thank you for many good lunches, brunches, dinners, cocktails AND for the great service...everyone has been wonderful!

Service was fine. Oysters had shell pieces in them and the Beef Wellington was not well done. Pepper Grinder on the table was empty. Was not impressed. Been to Edina location and found it to be more on its game.

We were very rushed. We had no idea it was going to be a 30 minute brunch. When I called and made reservation , why would they not tell us they were closing at 3:00pm, and why take a party of 5 at 2:15pm? The waitress wanted us to put our desserts orders in before we even ordered appetizers or entrees. She kept telling us that she had plans and we were going to be ushered out of the restaurant by 3:30pm. If we were told our time limit via the phone, I would have gone elsewhere. very disappointing to say the least.

The food, the drinks, the service; absolutely everything about our dining experience at Salut was extraordinary. I hadn't been there in a while. I will definitely be back soon.

Even though I made a reservation the day ahead, we were seated at a tiny table right next to the front door. Our appetizer was good, but both our entrees were subpar. Dessert was good. Waiter was fine as well. Won't be going back, however

Server very nice. Nice booth. The cheese platter was odd and missing items. My beet salad, so drenched in oil plus two hairs!! Ugh! I didn't complain I just didn't eat dinner. My guest was also disappointed and also only ate a portion of dinner as it was soggy and unappetizing. I used to love Salut, but will probably not go back for dinner to the Saint Paul location. I may give Edina another try.

The Pome Frites aren't nearly as good as they used to be. They were soggy and not crispy like they've been in the past. I was a bit irritated getting the bill and finding out we were paying almost $18 for glass of wine we thought was on the happy hour price. Our server, Steve, should have told us the Pinot we ordered was regular price. Getting the bill was a bit shocking. Always have loved Salut but I think the food has gone downhill a bit. Will keep trying.

Waitress didn’t become friendly until it was time to sign the check. Never got asked if I wanted another glass of wine. Salad Nicoise was lacking many ingredients: no Nicoise olives, no tomatoes, no cucumber, etc. and it was swimming in dressing. Very

Loved our steak Au poivre. The Nicoise Salad was a jumbled mess of a dish, with three little potatoes burried in a mountain of wilty arugula that was past its prime, over cooked asparagus. Dressing was absolutely delicious, tuna cooked great.Steak was amazing, perfect plating and sauce.Happy hour cocktail was wonderful too.

Good food in beautiful atmosphere. The outdoor patio provides an exceptional dining experience if the weather is nice. The portion sizes underwhelm for the price point, but overall, it’s a nice place to eat.

The regulars here obviously get great treatment, we were forgotten about in a booth for fifteen minutes. Food is expensive, but pretty great in all honesty. Out of what we enjoyed, I thought the mussels were the highlight. Drinks were stingy pours, but priced high, nothing notable and my partner tried four of them among us. Something about this place screams, “I am better than you”, represented in the staff and the patrons that frequent this place. Spend your hard earned money on food elsewhere in the city.
